The light pollution makes it seem like an enormous projection screen across the night sky. I love vids like this.
same here man, i get hard watching these.
I absolutely hate living in the city for this reason.
Freaking amazing.
I use to have a view like that from my house until all the city development started. At least I can see Jupiter still :sigh:
It looks awesome. Also, the planes look like comets when they go by.
I absolutely hate living in the city for this reason.
yeah, I live in chicago and i'd kill for quality like this.
The shooting stars at the beginning clearing through the sky is really what made this video breathtaking for me.
those quite possibly could be planes rather than shooting stars but beautiful nonetheless.
I fucking love space
The "shooting stars" were probably satellites or something. They're most visible right after sunset and in that video they seem to appear right after sunset like satellites do.
Holy fuck. This blew my mind away.
Holy fuck, is that a whole galaxy in top left at 0:19?
It sure is, when I went to Crete this year there was a new moon, and our hotel was far away from everything. The night sky was fucking incredible. :h:
holy hell that was incredible
There are some cities that actually have light pollution laws, like Flagstaff Arizona. All outdoor light fixtures require a type of "shade" placed over them so you don't get the scintillation from the lights in the lower atmosphere, making the sky absolutely breathtaking. Camping is really the only true way to experience an unparalleled beauty that glimmers with absolute brilliance.

I moved to a pretty small town with farms and everything and at night, you can see EVERY star. It is so fucking beautiful.
I live nowhere near a town, so you can pretty much see everything here.
