The only reason Larry Nassar is still alive right now is because it's illegal to kill him
Eh, at least he tried.
He won't be punished either.
Larry Nassar has to be one of the most hated people in the world right now, and he deserves every bit of it.
I thought the point of this whole justice system was to reduce bloodthirsty violence?
I thought the point of this whole justice system was to reduce bloodthirsty violence?
Well that's not exactly the whole point, but sure the guards stopped him didn't they? Can't blame the guy for having a go but also the judge and the guards have to keep order. Glad they're not going to punish the father.
I thought the point of this whole justice system was to reduce bloodthirsty violence?
Between individuals, yeah. Thats why security was there to stop the father and the court to punish the criminal.
I thought the point of this whole justice system was to reduce bloodthirsty violence?
Some people deserve it, end of.
Some people deserve it, end of.
Sure they do, but nevertheless you don't carry it out Glad the guards were there
Some people deserve it, end of.
I don't disagree that Larry deserves to be punished for his actions, and I would NEVER want this father to be punished for this, but we literally can't have this happening, and it literally goes against the point of our justice system. You don't just let your emotions get the better of you and start trying to beat up the mean man.

That's why we have a justice system, so those that are emotionally involved aren't in charge.

I feel like the woman at the end was being tactless. The guards took him down easy, said they understood, were very supportive.
Some people deserve it, end of.
deserved or not, this was a pointless risk. we shouldn't encourage it even if it's satisfying.
You don't just let your emotions get the better of you and start trying to beat up the mean man.
Imagine if you had three children, three human beings who were beyond mortal importance to you, who you unwittingly gave to the hands of a serial molester. Some stranger, someone whose reputation preceded them, who you trusted to be professional, proceeded to violate the most important people to you and scar them for life. How the fuck are you not going to let your emotions get to the better of you?

We're already on the same page, man.

Like 'I wouldn't do this if was in his shoes, I'm a calm jedi' really now? Bullshit. At the very least you'd be furious. I sympathise with the father in this situation.

You have to think about it from his perspective, and I don't understand what its like but the dudes daughters were violated, that isn't anger you can just bottle up because its the type of shit that'll control you. You HAVE to release it. He just happened to release it at the wrong time and the wrong place. He'd have been better off releasing it in a boxing ring or at a firing range, maybe talk it out with someone something healthy and productive. [editline]2nd February 2018[/editline] I'm so happy that no one was hurt though, and nothing came out of it. The police took the appropriate action and everything worked out.
The emotions from the video are palpable, it genuinely hurts to watch it.
Few if any of us can say we've experienced that kind of emotional pain firsthand so how can anyone say we'd "do the right thing" and behave?

I'm but an irrational human being who wishes to ascend to the ranks of calm, fair, and rational people like you.

This is just a father, a random guy who would otherwise not be anywhere near a courtroom and was dragged into this by a disgusting man potentially ruining and leaving an everlasting impression on his daughters life. What person wouldn't be emotional? He's not a cop or a judge who's actually required to be impartial and calm (and even they aren't all the time)
