What if this sucks like the newest Samurai Jack season
The track record for long-revived shows (i know this is a movie) haven't really done so great
Expect this has been in production hell for nearly two decades. The story and script were already thought out a long time ago, it just the creators finally have a chance to release it.

so did samurai jack's season 5! it's okay, it's not the same production company, nor the same case scenario.
I have confidence in Craig to make the movie good. You can tell during interviews and stuff he really loves the series.

I thought it was really good but the last episode was WAY TOO RUSHED and unfocused

I'm not a Jack fan but I thought the general consensus was that the new season was great?
Something about the vocal presentation of this video gives me a slight Rick and Morty interdimensional cable vibe.
I was actually reading up a little bit on the development of this a few days ago after I first saw this, and I never realized that they actually had a theatrical "Hey Arnold" movie in 2002. Apparently, at the time, they were working on the Jungle Movie to be a theatrical release, while also working on an hour long special for TV/direct-to-video called "Arnold Saves The Neighborhood."
Eventually they were told by Nickelodeon to make "The Neighborhood" into the theatrical release, so they had to pad it out, and ended up making an under-performing film which ultimately led to Bartlett leaving Nickelodeon, and causing the show and the Jungle Movie to be cancelled at the time.

It definitely wasn't the perfect 10/10 conclusion that your average hypemongering nostalgia goggle wearing pleb expected, it had its flaws, but it was really good.
It didn't leave me with a bad taste in my mouth when I finished watching it and not only did it not ruin one of my favorite childhood shows, but it was enjoyable to watch. What more could I possibly want?
It looks too clean. I remember Arnold having a dirtier grungier aesthetic.
Helga slams Arnold's face into a sloppy joe and cries out "NO ME GUSTA".
I remember when I was a little boy and that cliff hanger series finale aired hinting that Arnold would find his folks.
I was so excited to see Arnold be reunited with his parents or at least find out the truth.
I asked my mother "When do you think we'll get to see it?".
My mother used to work in syndication and television and since it wasn't advertised that this was the series finale, she guessed 4 to 6 months for the new season to start airing.
Well, here we are 13 years later and my ma and me will finally see it.

Arnold slaps Helga's butt and says "Buenos Dias, Helga"

I think all the late 90s early 2000s cartoons had that aesthetic, it simply isn't around anymore unfortunately.

Not really, "Hey, Arnold" had a sort of special feel to it, that urban setting is what I remember most about the show. It gave the show a unique look, and it was the perfect backdrop for all of the depressing themes the show dealt with.

Yeah I loved this about the show. Always thought the backgrounds were cool to look at.

Probably has to do with the fact that the original series wasn't done digitally.

Don't ever disrespect Samurai Jack ever again.

wasn't the last season done digitally?

Even if it was, that's probably not what is in a lot of peoples memories.
This is gonna confuse the shit out of all the kids who regularly watch Nickelodeon who never heard of Hey Arnold.
I really wanna see it tho even though I never cared much for Hey Arnold when it was on.
This is gonna be super cool. Hey Arnold was a great show. Definitely gonna try to catch it.

Time spent on a project, or in this case, how long it spent covered in dust because no one would fund it, is not equivocal to quality.
Remember Duke Nukem.....

I think the idea is that this was written back when Arnold was still a thing. No need to worry about the writers being "rusty".
