Great video. *tips fedora*

I honestly can't tell if this is serious
oh wait nvm the end revealed that he was sarcastic and i am also a moron
God, what a colossal fucking moron.
*whoosh*
if you couldn't pick up this was satire immediately then ohahaha there's something wrong with you
*whoosh*
I edited my post, holy shit [editline]4th August 2013[/editline]
if you couldn't pick up this was satire immediately then ohahaha there's something wrong with you
Not at all, considering that there have been people like Lamar unironically posting MRA-videogame videos like this
he says its a 69 part series 4 seconds in though, did that seriously not put in your head "hmm maybe this isnt serious"
at first i thought he was mocking anita's femfreq videos, not the other way around
fuck yeah frank i love frank
at first i thought he was mocking anita's femfreq videos, not the other way around
tbf I was a little confused at first myself
tbf I was a little confused at first myself
i didn't expect a video like this in this section, as i've said before, because generally pro-feminism videos like anita's get showered in dumbs.
It's funny how many people think this is serious. "Perfect Dark is a game that came out in the 80s..." should have been one of the biggest tips since it shows up not even 5 minutes in.
I wonder how many people viewing this are going to take this seriously and think that he's wearing a fedora seriously/unironically. A decent video, I too had pre-thoughts to this video as in I thought it was going to be a giant strawman of all people who disagree with Anita labeling them all as neckbearded overweight basement dwellers but it turns out it's just the trolls, MRA's, and dudebro's who give the usual "what about teh menz!" argument he's parodying.
oh my god this is great i wonder how much shit it would generate if posted on r/mensrights
oh my god this is great i wonder how much shit it would generate if posted on r/mensrights
do it
oh my god this is great i wonder how much shit it would generate if posted on r/mensrights
i still can't believe that subreddit even exists. it has like ~80k subscribers too.
what's up with videogames now, why is there so much social justice stuff??? isn't it just a hobby and meant to be played for fun? I mean sure some videogames pander to certain demographics but that doesn't mean it should be changed around and turned into something else, because thats what other kinds of videogames are for right?? certain genres that are meant to appeal to certain people??? all this time and energy wasted complaining about videogames could be spent to try and resolve real problems within society such as jobs and salaries and equal opportunities and the like, right? can someone fill me in
I mean sure some videogames pander to certain demographics but that doesn't mean it should be changed around and turned into something else, because thats what other kinds of videogames are for right??
if it was that simple, we wouldn't have videos like feminist frequency and shit

BUT gaming has its real life aspects too. The games industry and community. Go look at the whole one reason why influx. In an industry largely dominated by men, being a woman may be challenging. Imagine entering a games convention as a journalist, often being taken for a booth babe or someone's girlfriend instead. Of course, it's not as bad as workplaces back in the 60's - but it's still a problem in that it's inhibiting a person in doing her job. And that it's humiliating, of course. So don't let the over-zealous distort the fact that there is reason to address these problems. Constantly being underestimated or causing unbelieving surprise for doing something you love and that you've known since childhood seems really shitty and demoralizing.

That entire problem is a social issue and has nothing to do with the industry. Just because Mario saves Peach in every game doesn't equate to women in the journalism field will be treated like that. This is a problem entirely caused by the disproportionate amount of bigots in the industry. [editline]1[/editline] And like all bigots, they go away when you give people proper education.
Guys, it's perfect satire, which is very difficult to do. It's parodying both sides of the argument in order to denigrate both sides, so whoever watches the video thinks it's "on their side". If I had a fedora i'd be tipping it in his general direction. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] Feminist Frequency has a habit of cherry-picking games to complain about, Anita makes frequent errors and mistakes, and steals footage of the games from let's players when she was supposed to have raised her $300,000 to buy, record, and edit footage of the games. But also, people complain for the wrong reasons and simply argue that she doesn't know what she's talking about because she's a woman (although a lot of them are joking I think some of them are real) rather than because she doesn't source things properly, and a lot of the "MEN'S RIGHTS" twitterfedoras are just like the way this guy is portraying them. Overall it's an excellent parody of both sides of that argument.
I think you missed the point if you think this is just meant to attack both sides also your facts about anita are wrong
