isn't it just a hobby and meant to be played for fun?
I mean sure some videogames pander to certain demographics but that doesn't mean it should be changed around and turned into something else, because thats what other kinds of videogames are for right??
certain genres that are meant to appeal to certain people???
all this time and energy wasted complaining about videogames could be spent to try and resolve real problems within society such as jobs and salaries and equal opportunities and the like, right?

I see why you're wondering about this - at a first glance it may seem like ideological overkill. BUT gaming has its real life aspects too. The games industry and community. Go look at the whole one reason why influx. In an industry largely dominated by men, being a woman may be challenging. Imagine entering a games convention as a journalist, often being taken for a booth babe or someone's girlfriend instead. Of course, it's not as bad as workplaces back in the 60's - but it's still a problem in that it's inhibiting a person in doing her job. And that it's humiliating, of course.

That has nothing to do with the video games themselves, which is what Feminist Frequency is about.
That entire problem is a social issue and has nothing to do with the industry. Just because Mario saves Peach in every game doesn't equate to women in the journalism field will be treated like that. This is a problem entirely caused by the disproportionate amount of bigots in the industry.

Feminist Frequency has a habit of cherry-picking games to complain about, Anita makes frequent errors and mistakes, and steals footage of the games from let's players when she was supposed to have raised her $300,000 to buy, record, and edit footage of the games.
But also, people complain for the wrong reasons and simply argue that she doesn't know what she's talking about because she's a woman (although a lot of them are joking I think some of them are real) rather than because she doesn't source things properly, and a lot of the "MEN'S RIGHTS" twitterfedoras are just like the way this guy is portraying them.

To be honest I couldn't really tell at first if he was an MRA trying to make a point by parodying Anita Sarkeesian or if he was making fun of MRAs.
