The funny thing is that this trailer doesn't spoil anything. The actual premise for the movie is that he gets mauled by a bear and abandoned, and that he's seeking vengeance, which is what the trailer shows, and nothing more.
I'm hyped as fuck for this, the director is good, casting is great, setting is great.
This looks really good. And it makes me want a good movie adaptation of Blood Meridian.
If anyone's curious about what true events this is based on, look up Hugh Glass (the character Leo is portraying).

We've all been wanting a Blood Meridian film for ages now. I'm a little over halfway through the book (still) and I think with its themes and imagery, it'd be an amazing film.
I wish they made more movies based around the Fur trappers and mountain men during the 1800s. Thank god for this.
I think this is one of the only films being released this year I have been excited about seeing.

considering everyone i've seen/talked to on reddit, facepunch, and in real life is hyped as fuck for this, it obviously won't be as big of a financial success but it sure as hell won't be underrated
