Pretty good animation, also the speaker talks about the intrinsic dangers of capitalism pretty well.
And now it is time for Sobotnik to explain how capitalism isn't the root of all evil.
That certainly wouldn't be surprising although that doesn't mean the points he makes aren't worthy of consideration.
It scares me that a Marxist is being listened to and agreed with.

It scares me to see how ignorant people can't see how uneven the distribution of resources on this earth is.
How do you change such a world wide implemented system though? Hardly gonna happen over night

You are completely right, but marxism isn't going to solve that either

who says he's a marxist? he uses marxist methodology for analysis but that doesn't make him a "marxist".
what do you think "marxism" is anyways?

marxism is very important to identifying the problem.

it's important for framing the nature of whatever post-capitalist society you think you want to create.
David Harvey has written a lot of good books check them out.
Another great economist is Richard Wolff, I recommend Contending Economic Theories.

How

it provides a framework with which to criticize capitalism. class relationships, for example, are incredibly important to look at in order to understand the nature of capitalism. the video also mentioned the internal contradictions of capital accumulation, which is also useful for analyzing the crises that are systemic to a capitalist system.

You do realized that Marx was objectively wrong about a ton of things right?
I'm all for finding a better system but we should make sure that it's a system that actually, y'know, works.

All he was pointing out was a problem in our current system. How do you equate that with endorsing Marxism?
