It's interesting to hear Geoff being more critical

Ha fuckin Peter Molyneux at 3 minutes.
Seems like Geoff is able to do more of what he wants with this new Youtube show rather than what advertisers and sponsors wanted with Spike's VGX, which is great because it allows him to be him rather than a pope for a tortilla chip snack.

the game awards iirc are funded by him on his own
dude clearly cares about video games a lot
Why is the camera always moving in the exact same pattern

Geoff is a cool guy. I remember his speech at gdc (or was it at pax) about how he got into game industry and about mistakes that happened during his career (especially he mentions the dorito pope). It's nice to see him talking from his heart and what he thinks about games.
It's always weird to come back to the realization that Geoff actually seems to really care about video games.
One moment, we're making fun of him and his "pandering" antics of being the Dorito Pope or "rigged" awards shows, and the next, we're applauding him for his efforts as he gets us much needed coverage on topics we're interested in like all the coverage on Kojima since MGSV was announced up until today.
I really hope, and would love to see, Sean Murray be on his show sometime this month so he could get his story out on a platform that just won't instantly harm him (like an AMA would). I'm sure everyone who's had some interest in NMS would love some sort of clarification on the matter, no matter how big or small the info is.

It's following him sway around in place

Do you have a link? I've tried googling it and I can't find anything. Closest I got was this: http://hwcdn.libsyn.com/p/0/5/2/052b9ffaa1c378d7/kp42.mp3?c_id=6538553&expiration=1475414274&hwt=e85ecfffaf6eb9bf40d96075f831ba72
I always felt like Geoff really hated being a journalist for TV. Even when he was the Doritos and Mountain Dew pope he barely cracked a smile as if a man who's career had been tainted by sponsors and advertisers left him a broken man. But on his own Youtube show he's smiling nearly all the time. I'm glad to see he's finally happy.
I really hope Sean goes on the show later in October, I've been wanting to hear his side of the story since NMS launched. I just hope it's a balanced interview and not a witch hunt, the guy's had enough vitriol thrown at him in my opinion.
I really liked the insight that Geoff gave on NMS's development- that it was their decision to make it a boxed copy, that Sean didn't want to "ruin the magic," and that they wanted him to leave when things started to get stressed. Can't wait for the possible interview coming up soon, would love to see post-launch info.

It's fairly obvious to people who have actually followed the guy outside of his presenting career. He does genuinely seem to have a passion for the industry, not just playing games but understanding the whys and ifs of their development.
Being piled with sponsorships and "you must say x, you must push y, no bonus otherwise" would really dampen how much enjoyment you'd get out of talking about something, no matter how much you loved it.

You'd think people were joking when everyone said he looked dead inside in his Dorito Pope days, but he was probably genuinely unhappy to be working like there.
