couldnt disagree more. maybe its just confirmation bias but here in texas if you get behind a minivan, lexus of any kind, or anyone with DV (disabled veteran; can't blame them though they got injured in a war so they dont want to die in a car accident) or the handicapped symbol on their plate they will be going at least 10 mph under the speed limit
the only exception is 1/1000 minivans will be driving like a maniac. there is no in between. i drive for a living so i am pretty much a field researcher qualified to post this 100% scientific quantitative analysis that cannot be refuted even by my own disclaimer of it probably having bias

There's more to it than that. "Executive" type cars - Audi's, BMWs, Lexus etc - are generally chosen as company cars in the UK. This means the driver has no reason to give a fuck - they don't pay for the car, the insurance, or even any repairs.
And so it becomes a frequent sight to see bad driving from people in cars of these manufacturers and a negative stereotype develops.
