Takistan Life is some indepth shit with some awesome experiences if you actually decide to stick with it for a little while. I remember my little group ended up making a monopoly on oil and paying cops for hardware.
all fun and games until we couldn't land our UN Helo because we forgot to get NVG and we didn't have any lights :v:
You're a little late to the party if you just discovered Takistan life now. There was this one time me and some mates came across a server admin just handing out shit loads of money, we caught most of it and the first thing we did was buy a tank. To say the least we literally devastated the server out classing every police officer and mobster that came after us, we were only stopped by running completely out of ammo. So we did the only reasonable thing we could, drove into town, planted explosives on it, and killed the first poor sucked to approach. Good times.
Takistan life is one of my guilty pleasures.
This is legitimately the first time I've ever played it :v: . I might play it a bit more past what I've already played/recorded, but I don't know if it was just the server we were on or something because this shit was waay too out there for me.
I stopped playing it around the time an admin that was a cop got really butthurt that people weren't driving on the right side of the road so he went awol and started banning people.
I just plant roadside bombs and mines. It's all fun and games until your own team set off a mine with their T-34 and IFF doesn't work so you level an entire building along with the tank, just in case.
Did you start playing Arma 2 during the Dayz surge? Cherno or Taki life used to be pretty much the ONLY populated servers on the game. How did you just find this server? If you started playing during the surge of player during the release of Dayz then I can understand though. I remember a time where everything was a Warfare server.
I remember playing roleplay in ArmA 1, shit was fun.
As police, we found out where the terrorist camp was and we blocked its roads, checking every car that went there while the other group raided it.
I used to get really invested in this, and always as a cop. Spent so many nights stocked up on energy drinks, and staying up all night while I ran the entire police force.
Also you really are late to this. Before there was Takistan life there was Chernarus Life, and before that it was Sahranni Life (Arma1). I can't believe how long ago that was..

I'll admit I didn't start playing ArmA until DayZ popped up. Before then I didn't feel like buying it or had a pc capable of running it. DayZ just happened to come out a day or two before I upgraded my pc :v:

Spend the day getting cash money, join up a gang with random dudes and go cop hunting. I used to do that shit all the time during the summer
Used to play Sahranni Life a lot in ArmA 1. One of the best times I had on that game was when the police were being super oppressive cunts finding excuses to , shoot, arrest, harass, people for no reason. Eventually the civilians all got pissed to the point where [i]everyone[/i] banded together against the cops. We had a few rich players that financed everything and bought everyone AK-47s and RPGs, and a few little birds at the Terrorist Camp, We even managed to steal two Police Helicopters back when they were OP as fuck with the 30mm cannon on the side. We had a secret base where we all grouped up and planned the assault before the attack on the police HQ, but as we were making our final preparations the server crashed and all was lost.
The Police basically responded like Bashar al-Assad to the smallest infraction. The server mods always took their side, and a few people were banned for some bullshit reasons. They gave us no choice but to fight back. It was the greatest show of civilian cooperation I've ever seen in that game.

One of the greatest shows of cooperation between civilians and police was when some dude got his hands on an Abrams and was tearing apart the main city. You had cops and civilians running around with Javelins trying to get the guy. Was pretty crazy.

OFP1 roleplay was the bestttt
I remember my first time playing Takistan Life.
The police had a crackdown, and any civvie that wasn't in the main building/in their 'property' was Killed On Sight.
And then Terrorists came in a Huey and killed all the cops and declared the same exact martial law.

I played on one of these the first time I played arma. First thing that happened was I got jumped by cops who told me to put my hands up (which I didnt know how) and promptly shot me. They continued to do this at random times throughout my play session
