Minute Math
he said math but there are no numbers, where are the numbers duuuuhhhhhhhhhh
people actually need to come up with special ways to do such simple mathematics?
Or you could just add the numbers and then multiply instead of multiplying four times and then adding
people actually need to come up with special ways to do such simple mathematics?
Not everyone is good at math, mnemonics like these are really helpful. My math teacher taught us the definition cos, sin and tan with SOH CAH TOA (like Krakatoa): Sin = Opposite / Hypotenuse, and so on...
uhhhhhhhhhh can you tell me where the numbers are lmao this is for shit like (6x + 8x²)(9x+1)
Found them.
uhhhhhhhhhh can you tell me where the numbers are lmao this is for shit like (6x + 8x²)(9x+1)
Well looks like I'm an idiot :v: [editline]6th May 2013[/editline] My brain stopped working I guess.
people actually need to come up with special ways to do such simple mathematics?
Not everyone learns/does math the same way.
people actually need to come up with special ways to do such simple mathematics?
Things seem simple only after you learn them.
Wow, they did a really bad job at actually explaining what foiling does, or when to apply it etc.
This is seriously the entire video? Showing how to do multiplcation?
This is how multiplication is taught in the UK.
This is simple math.
mind blown
This is seriously the entire video? Showing how to do multiplcation?
It's more showing how to do distribution... But, yer.. I'm glad stuff like this gets done, as some poor kid who is struggling might understand this very visualized description.
It's more showing how to do distribution... But, yer.. I'm glad stuff like this gets done, as some poor kid who is struggling might understand this very visualized description.
Thirty seconds of it was spent showing that it's called FOIL which doesn't matter at all.
this is good until you get to higher exponents and then pascals triangle comes in handy
this is good until you get to higher exponents and then pythagoras's triangle comes in handy
If you are talking about, Then I think you mean Pascal's triangle.
pascals yes i literally just realized my mistake when i clicked this thread oh god and then i saw your post and i knew it would be that oh god sorry
Wow you guys are so intelligent.
Doing this takes me longer than "ah i'll just multi everything with everything"
Not everyone is good at math, mnemonics like these are really helpful. Every channel has a video that they thought was a good idea, but their viewers do not. This is MinutePhysics'
My math teacher taught us the definition cos, sin and tan with SOH CAH TOA (like Krakatoa): Sin = Opposite / Hypotenuse, and so on...
our teacher taught us "some old hippy caught another hippy tripping on acid" for those some old hippy = sine, opposite side over hypotenuse caught another hippy = cosine, adjacent side over hypotenuse tripping on acid = tangent, opposite side over adjacent side
This isn't even physics.
This is a far better minute physics video. OP's was actually terrible.
Lately Like most of my high school memories I forgotten most of the shit I learned, but seeing this allowed me to fucking remember how to do these problems all over again and went to my college and scored pretty much in the top tier so I didnt have to take some bullshit algebra course just to take the actual algebra course instead. So thanks you just saved me some credit hours I didnt have to waste and it only took me a minute to fucking remember it.
