This is a leaked video, hence the "unofficial" part.

I've always thought that the 'nightmare inducing' reputation of BD's robots was a bit understated, but holy shit. Something about the way it moves is fucking horrifying. I think it's because it moves just smoothly enough to land right in the middle of the uncanny valley, especially for something that looks like it has absolutely no business moving like that.
I can imagine these things replacing binmen or something
code geass had it right
mecha with wheels
YES!!!!
I've geeked out on the idea for years
If I was there at that presentation I would had yelled and started clapping right at the beginning.
And from what we've seen from Atlus, you might get a rollerblading like robot in the not to distant future.
I'm going to binge watch Rideback now.

mech with wheels has actually been around in japanese sci fi for a while, I once spotted an anime poster from the 80s about some sort of metro gp but with mechs that have wheels closely to what Rideback had.
Did that robot just use his wheely-legs to jump?!
I don't know what you guys mean by "nightmare-inducing", that shit looks fuckin' radical.
I think y'all just jealous that you can't shred like this mad cunt of a machine.
Something small appears to fling off the robot after it lands from the jump, so it definitely needs some work. That was a pretty damn impressive demonstration though, though I can't help but admit something about it looks kind of scary.
Notice how not a single motherfucker dared to mess with this guy.
Humans are learning to know their place.
Honestly it made my shoulders feel tense, because it looked like it was holding its arms back behind its giant head the entire time.
I don't understand what's so nightmare inducing about it either. The nightmare inducing robots are the ones from Japan with human faces imo.

It makes sense I guess. What's the point of an armoured walking vehicle if you can outrun it on a bicycle
Metal Gear Skate.
I'm guessing the nightmare part comes from its uncanniness? it moves very realistically and the reverse knee legs resemble goat legs I guess?
I personally can't get over how huge it is and how smoothly it moves. Thing must be like 2 meters tall and it's just skating around like a preschooler.

It looks like a horse rearing up, but instead of walking with legs it just glides forward in perfect balance. It's like a weirdly animated ghost-horse-robot.
Here's another video of the same bit, with some more extra stuff added on and better quality.

Dead Space: Unrated
It looks like a guy roller skating backwards.
That's straight-up just D-Walker holy crap. I wonder if it can lock up the wheels and walk around or trot on all fours in less-friendly terrain
The way it moves it's center of gravity to take turns is just incredible, so natural
oooooooooooooooooooh yeah~
The future is here boys.
I welcome our new robotic allies.
man that is one fucking beautiful machine
Huh, just checked and turns out Google hasn't sold them after all.
Reminds me of that thing from Silent Hill 2

was about to say, geass is a weird first choice, ghost in the shell's tachikomas were what sprung to mind for me
in that same regard though I think the thing that makes it most unsettling in its form is how it rears up with its front legs. One could say it's like a horse, but the fact it moves forward full-force it feels more like a massive spider rearing up its front legs and lunging forward
[editline]e[/editline]
which is another point in the tachikoma similarity
tachikomas are more like vehicles, while this looks like a humanoid on wheels, thus the code geass similarities
Holy fucking shit, when it jumped
"awwww yeeeeaaahhh"
I cant wait to have these delivering my pizza

Its creepy because it moves so fluidly, quickly, and precisely despite barely having any humanoid features. Generally, robots we see look like dogs or humans but are extremely clumsy and slow. This thing is just insane, I've never seen a robot move that fast and not be clumsy as hell.
Honestly this looks like an ARG for a movie or video game or something. It's just so unreal.
So we could totally make D-Walker now, right?
