The "omg gabe newell savi0r of errythang!!@@@@@" has really soured my interest in steam and pc gaming in general. Every time I have a casual discussion about videogames, online or offline, someone always brings up this shitty beaten to death joke.
It has devolved in to unoriginal unfunny catchprhase humor essentially. The joke and punchline is "look its gabe newell!"

If people making shitty jokes causes you to lose interest in PC gaming then clearly you were never very interested.

Its very possible to enjoy something but not enjoy the community surrounding something.
