"Sit down you socialist"
Gotta love politics.
Representative Duke Cunningham later plead guilty to accepting $2.4 million in bribes and under-reporting his taxable income. He was released after eight years in June 2015.
How do profligates like him get elected?

Welcome to America...
The mediator should have let Bernie Sanders rip into that idiot for another solid minute at least at the end
The way Cunningham just made a load of noise to block him out and called him a socialist as an insult is just about the most childish move any person in his position could make
Everyone really needs to get out there are register as a Democrat just to vote for him in the primary. Recently got involved in helping campaign for Bernie on my campus and most people here support him, but very few have registered to vote or even know how to. If you wanna support Bernie I'd get on it ASAP. Deadlines for registering to vote in the primary are creeping up quickly.

A note on this, in many states you do not have to register for a party to vote in primaries. If you're an open primary state, then you simply show up on the primary elections and select which party's ballot you will vote with. You have to be registered to vote in general though.
Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts (if you aren't registered to a party), Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, N Carolina, N Dakota, S Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and Wisconsin all have open primaries. Otherwise, you must register as a Democrat to vote for Bernie Sanders in your state's primary.

Sanders is such a stand up politician. I haven't seen very many of his caliber.
Trump on the other hand only recieves as much sup[port as he does because many americans know nothing of politics and they only support the guy who has the most charisma. It also helps if he has been on TV for the mindless millions to gobble up in their limitless quest for brain rot entertainment.
If Bernie gets elected president I might actually consider moving there.
Maybe.
At this point, with him Leading in Iowa, New Hampshire, and Vermont. I think Bernie can pull it off, still got a long ways.
i love how throughout the video cunningham has this giant shit-eating smirk on his face
Bernie Sanders is the hero this country deserves.

Nah, he's the one it needs.
Amazing how nobody even gasped at the word 'homo'. Then again, I wonder when the last time someone in Congress said 'tranny' was without anyone batting an eyelid?

Best part is the bribes were from a defense contractor in exchange for more contracts, no wonder he was beating his chest about military spending.

You only have to register for a specific party to vote in a caucus or primary, not in the actual election. This is because the primary elections are the party selecting its nominated candidate and they want said candidate to actually represent the party's voters.

His face at the end was infuriating. I'm biased and over exaggerating, but it seems he might as well have cackled like a Bond villain and shared his maniacal plan then and there. To think he spent over 20 years legislating at the federal level depresses me.

I actually remember this guy from Dogfights: Greatest Air Battles (he was also a navy pilot).
It's a shame that he is such a massive douchebag.
wow, there's a lot of interrupting in Congress
Vote Kanye for your congressman today.

Homo isn't that bad sounding of a word, at least in my opinion.
Homo isn't that bad sounding of a word, at least in my opinion.
No but he obviously used it as a pejorative
Homo isn't that bad sounding of a word, at least in my opinion.
I guess the context it was used in was why Sanders and some others had a problem with that. The word itself isn't particularly bad, but Cunningham pretty much used the term to refer to gay people in the same way typical internet users would tend to refer to some as "SJWs" in a belittling manner.

Homo is bad depending on the context used, much like fag/queer/faggot/queer.
Can be harmless, can be horrible, know who you talk to.
That was painful to watch. How the fuck does someone like Duke Cunningham even get elected?
i would give my left nut for bernie sanders to be president
It really annoys me that there are people that still insist Bernie is a wasted vote the second you bring him up like they got you with an epic zinger.
Like shit, man. If he's a favorable candidate, he's a favorable candidate. Do you understand how self-defeating the idea that you're not going to vote or support anyone in advance because you don't think he has a chance is?
My brother was convinced he was going to vote for Hillary in the primary because he thought Bernie was impossible and now he's saying he's probably going to vote for Bernie unless one of his favorite politicians throws their hat in late in the game.

It's all about tactical voting, I think there's a fantastic series of videos that covers the most important parts of FPTP voting: Politics Unboringed
It's all about tactical voting.
Tactical voting makes sense when you have at least 2 good options.
Hilary is horrible and the Republicans are pretty insane right now.

They're basically all like that. They live off the people rather than work for them. You get elected, you make $174k a year starting out, you get all them nice coushy free healthcare and benefits all of which WE pay for, You work 130 of the days in a year. Hell they even repealed the law that forbids them to trade on inside information they know about from laws they pass. You become a congressman to get rich. They get up there, act like vassals to a king and rule over their land, rather than a public servant with our best interest in mind. None of them leave their personal beliefs at the door like they should
