(Somewhat spoilery, in case you've never seen the game.)
[sp]That room with the cube puzzle and the room actually moving in real time is really cool[/sp]

I quite liked how James kept his animations when the camera gets forced into first person. Makes sense because it's mocaped, but I love the feeling of seeing content that probably no one has seen since development.
even today the [sp]Abstract Daddy room[/sp] still grosses me the fuck out
I kinda wished he would also cover the Born From A Wish bonus level.

a lot of it is down to the extremely detailed texture work. you can see [sp]patches of herpes blisters in the upper corners, white and brown discharge on the floor, weird papery ball-seams cordoning off the ceiling, which i don't think is even visible in-game.[/sp] someone at Team Silent worked on that room. don't even want to imagine where they found the textures for it, good god.

[sp]I still can't get over her fucking monologue on the staircase, shit hits like a brick.[/sp]
The whole 'if the player can't see it, don't model it' philosophy always intrigues me
-[sp]It's hot as hell in here![/sp]
-[sp]You see it too? For me, it's always like this.[/sp]
This game is a masterpiece.
I always start humming "what if god was one of us" on the intro song.
Anyways, Silent Hill 2 is what got me into the artist Francis Bacon, which again got me hooked on traditional painting. Played the first three silent hills a lot, and was intrigued how everything was shaped after the main character(the city, the monsters and bosses). It's kind of like expressionism if you think about it.
