man that image at 2:25 I can't believe this is real it even has the [sp]blendtec blender[/sp]
I only laughed at the part with Gavin (Slow Mo Guys, Rooster Teeth)
Aside from annoying orange, that was surprisingly tame and not cringy.
-snip snap- I still thought it was pretty cringey
Aside from annoying orange, that was surprisingly tame and not cringy.
I thought it was dreadful to be honest. You can't really just throw in a bunch of references and expect it to be automatically funny. Viral videos work best when they're self contained. Referencing them removes any context which made them funny in the first place, and therefore any humour, and just makes it appear that they're trying way too hard to remain relevant.
It's not truly internet "themed" without 9/11
I do not see a reason for this video to be 'funny'. It mostly an lighthearted instructional / educational video, but obviously you don't realize this because ''omg memes, how horrible!''.

I don't want to 'save the memes' or anything, I just really dislike this trend of "this thing was popular, if we put this thing in our thing then our thing will be popular".
They missed their chance to put snoop in the no smoking part
Wow Delta this will totally make up for being stuck in bumfuck, texas (Population: Me) for two days with no baggage due to you putting it on a flight to California whilst telling me my flight was delayed 6 times then canceled and then force me to purchase a red eye flight just so that I can get home and not reenact Tom Hank's hit film Terminal. Yeah please keep showering me in mudkipz, and rick rolls that'll make me forget the mistake of not flying southwest.
This entire video was like if the Internet started leaking into the real world.

Well, not due to an accident anyway. Funny enough their only incident related fatality was someone who was in a car The video was alright. It didn't force everything, everything was just... there
Ok i'll admit...that bit made me laugh

It's not trying to become a viral video or something.

The video has been posted on pretty much every major news website, and undoubtedly many of the YouTube 'celebrities' involved in making the video will make their own videos about it. It is an absolutely calculated move.

But the same time its not overly obnoxious like other pandering videos i've seen.
why

It could have been worse
not the most obnoxious one out there but man, definitely the most outdated references i've seen yet
I really feel like this kind of stuff has no place in safety videos.
Seriously? No bane posting with the masks? That's all I was waiting for.....
What's even the point of doing this stuff
I would say this is more "YouTube" themed than "internet" themed. It's like Weezer's pork and beans music video on an airplane.
They should of used this video instead.
Sorry Delta, but the free cookies on your flights won't make up for this.
it's weird because like most of these memes are from years ago, like what, charlie bit my finger is from 2007 or something right? maybe i'm just insane but it's a little nice to see some of that stuff again and go "haha oh yeah, i remember that"
Ok i'll admit...that bit made me laugh
That maymay was never funny to begin with though
and holy fuck how has nobody mentioned the dancing baby
