They also generally like him because he seems like a good person overall but also appeals to rougher people cuz he can be aggressive and incredibly firm. He seems well respected, people see him as honest. There's also bragging rights or advertisement

Cocaine is rather prevalent among chefs and the like so it makes sense he'd try and do this at least.

[QUOTE=noh_mercy;52798549]its baffling how people come up with these concoctions.[/QUOTE] Whenever a similar video is posted online (or when series like Narcos show the process) organic chem students come out of the woodwork to explain both the process (acid-base extraction) and why they use so many seemingly random components (because cement lime, gas and battery acid are cheap, non-suspicious and readily available alternatives to the bases, solvents and acids you'd use in a proper lab). It's fascinating stuff, especially because the nature of the process means that all of those components are removed along the way or cancel eachother out, a proper extraction and refinement will yield cocaine hydrochloride, and that's not so much "made" by the process as it is directly [I]extracted[/I] from the plant.
