I wonder how long it will be before somebody makes a similar thing for other Star Trek series? With home effects technology advancing as it is, it probably won't be long before a decent independent group can make stuff that looks and feels like TNG.

you can't do fan fics beyond 5-10mins or so anymore, they wrapped up early because of it.
