The parts with HL2 gameplay didnt sound right, everything was super reverberated, but those other tech demos look (sound) great
They've got some other sexy shit in their channel if you guys want to check it out.
I have always thought that audio should get more attention then graphics, this is why.
it sounds like shit on the gunshots.
what they need instead of heavy reverb is a slap echo
Where is the download for that, replaying Half Life 2 with that in on would make it a totally different experience.

it sounds like an oversensitive mic capturing the environment
This is sexy beyond belief.
Valve should pick this up for HL3.
Breen speaking with that on sounded amazing.
The gunshots however.
The HL2 sounded crap, the rest sounded amazing.
I want this in CS:S, I would actually be able to hear where gunshots are coming from.
It's a good concept but incorporating it into a game definitely needs work.
The problem with the over reverbing-ness in hl2 is the gunshots and breen talking already have reverb built into them, so you get this kind of double reverberation and reverberating reverberation which sounds bad and echoey.

Holy shit all of my senses in my head and spine went ape shit. This is incredible!
I've always liked audio more than graphics, it kind of kills a game when the guns sound like pea-shooters, or bad voice acting.
I could see this being AMAZING when it comes to Voip, the need to whisper in a game or else the enemy could eaves drop would be hilarious and fun to see in a game. That would make something like getting a radio all the more useful.

They had something like that in one of the Socom games for PS3 IIRC. I think it was Socom at least..
I mean the volume you speak at is important.

When he puts the bag over your head, I actually felt like I was going to be suffocated with it. :ohdear:
Something I hate in games is when they completely take out sound on one side of the head to show sound is coming from the other side. It's frustrating and always feels like someone is whispering very loudly in my ear.
The only problem with this is that we're too used to sound not being realistic enough in games
I think that if they dampened the wet signal in this, it'd sound much better
overall it's really amazing
I liked how they called it the "Half Life 2 Engine" instead of the source engine.
Or maybe I'm wrong.

Kinda like the The Coconut Effect
Having realistic sound etc wouldn't be that much of a problem in games, just we're so used to it.
