Youtube's flag system is a joke
How does Google fuck up so much with YouTube.
Automated systems shine once again.
I'm just saying this because how bad youtube has gotten. However I bet you someone like Kim Dotcom can create a better system than this shit google calls youtube.
poor jwittz. He's a cool guy and idk how some little video about lavender town is spam but :(
How does Google fuck up so much with YouTube.
Because they don't give a fuck about the system sucking ass. They care about making as much money as possible, and the number of videos getting flagged and removed due to copyright issues for non-legitimate reasons is marginal compared to the sheer amount of videos that are released everyday and successfully monetized. They won't change the system because on their side it works ideally : it keeps the annoying corporations at bay, allows them to absorb a shitton of dosh in the process, and statistically/financially, the actual loss in profit of videos that get unfairly removed can be entirely ignored.
i got a copyright notice by wmg stating that i was using p diddy's "that's crazy" in one of my videos. turns out the actual song i used was a mash-up of j dilla's "dreamy" and biggie's "my downfall". first appeal was outright denied the same day i appealed. still waiting for a response (coming up to a week now) to my second appeal. youtube is such a fucking joke now.
We all need to do a blood sacrifice for the resurrection of our one true savior, Stage 6.
The only good change recently has been ContentID. They now automatically stop all monetization when something is in dispute so companies can't just get a video flagged and take all revenue for 30 days like before. Also with networks you can report false claims which are from the wrong party. That's a different thing to the community strikes, which in most cases are the most annoying to deal with due to the process has no real dispute.
Kim Dotcom can create a better system than this shit google calls youtube.
Youtube just needs more competition that doesn't suck.
Holy shit, just read his about me page. Recognized the name, then noticed the address. I went to high school with his younger brother. Small world. Regarding the video, that's pretty crappy. Youtube's policies seem to be getting worse and worse.
This guy was also in the King of Zimbabwe series.
while it does stop companies abusing the system to get revenue on contents that don't belong to them, thus lowering the number of falsm claims, but uploaders still not being able to monetize their video, which greatly hurts their income.
Google are a bunch of stupid cunts.

Also the contentID system seems to definitely be learning stuff. I run a channel which has 400 videos and 7600 subscribers, and one with 220 subs and about 100 videos. The bigger one gets monetized within... 3-4 minutes, the small one takes a few hours to monetize. Priority for size is nice to see atleast. And I say that because you shouldn't need to worry about time with a small channel when it comes to monetizing. You'd be making less than a penny anyways.
I said it before and I'll say it again somebody make Garry release facetube or punchtube or facepunchtube idgaf what it's called just make it a video service that has comments with the funny/dumb/artistic ratings and you will rule world
I didn't recognize who this was from the username, so I was expecting someone whining about why their rule-breaking video wasn't allowed. But, a fucking Pokemon trivia video? I remember seeing that video, too. There's nothing rule-breaking in there, not even remotely. That shit definitely wasn't "reviewed by the YouTube team". It was just a straight-up automated takedown, probably instigated by some idiot's false report.
How does Google fuck up so much with YouTube.
Because they don't care. They know people have nowhere else they can really go to, so they can do whatever the fuck they want.
we need a collaborative video hosting service created and managed by the community WeTube
Yeah, I think that it's about time something replaced youtube.
DailyMotion is an alright service but the search sucks.
How does Google fuck up so much with YouTube.
Yeah it must be really easy running the largest and most popular video hosting site.
He set the complaint video to private, what now? [editline]19th March 2014[/editline] Oh fucking hell, Vinesauce's windows XP destruction video was removed for the same "scam" reason, ugh.
Yeah it must be really easy running the largest and most popular video hosting site.
Seeing how they automated it, yeah it must be easy.
Is the video taken down?
I haven't had the chance to see the video but I wonder if someone else isn't to blame.

I appealed it and my case was pretty much "it's a video game". A week later the violation was removed and the video was put back up. Pretty stupid considering I've seen far worse on YouTube.
"P. Diddy-That's Crazy", sound recording administered by: 17:26 WMG Your appeal is awaiting response by 13/04/14 it's now the 24th.
