Because people were upset about the amount of snare and the speed of it last time.
You have the biggest toms I've ever seen, and that's a very interesting ride placement. Also, get some mics or something. They're cheap and pick up on the audio 1000x better than your video camera does. Just edit the audio in over the video afterwards.
When you improvise (like I assume you're doing here) try to have some sort of loose idea of what you're gonna do before you start. Otherwise you end up with a bunch of random tempo changes and the whole thing generally doesn't flow very well. Other than that, there was a lot of cool stuff in there, keep it up! How long have you been playing?
I'm kinda wondering why you had to clear your throat before playing.
Needs practice, should also pic up some mics like bleh said
i really like all the strange time signature changes that are super jarring

As for my ride setup, this kit is half 70's (hence the huge toms), and half modern. The bases of every stand get in the way of each other and this is the only setup that works with the space I have. I hate the setup to be honest, but the size of the toms limits their placement over the bass/floor tom, my crash and china are actually taped into place because they are not the original poles for the tom stands, and my ride has to go there instead of on my right because it interferes (again) with the low tom.

My toms, in order, are 12, 14, 16, 18", the floor tom is 20" and my bass is 22". I'll look into getting some mics, once I have a new job.
I definitely have that issue when I improvise, because when you're "just goin' with it" it's hard to keep the memorized rhythms from coming out and they can be rhythms ingrained to a certain tempo. I've had the drum kit since I was 7, didn't take it serously until I was older, and even then the last 4 years have been off and on, playing every day for 5 hours to not touching my sticks for 3 or 4 weeks at a time.
Thanks for the advice, much more constructive than I had expected!

So my larynx would resonate with the ride idk
