For a game that's just recently gone open-source, it sure hasn't been getting a whole lot of love. Newtonian physics, capital ships, real-time strategy elements and intense fighter combat (orbital and atmospheric!) all in one package.
This thread isn't about the game, though, otherwise I'd be in GGD. It's about me playing it.

Is this multiplayer?
It is supposed to be, but for some reason its broken in the latest release. That happened apparently before the open-source-ification ritual stuff, but its not beyond fixing for those with the right knowledge.
Love this game. Dynamic campaign is pretty sweet too. If you take out a frigate or destroyer early on, it won't be there for any future missions, and both sides have a certain number of assets and that's it. It has arcade like flight physics, or realistic Orbiter type physics with some realism taken for gameplay sake, and a flight model in between. It's kind of like LOMAC, but in space
