Might be late, but ignore the girl for a second. I'm interested to see if anyone spots what she's doing.
I don't see the film specified. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] THERE IT IS!
I don't see the film specified. [editline]29th June 2012[/editline] THERE IT IS!
Yeah, for some reason it fucked up the first time.
She was further away when she didn't want to be lifted.
hi its elbows messes with your center of gravity
It's not so much centre of gravity, that's rather unspecific. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] Like, what's she actually doing?
It's not so much centre of gravity, that's rather unspecific. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] Like, what's she actually doing?
she was pushing on his arms the first time.
I recall a similar technique were putting your arms there is kind of fucking with the muscle, its a bit too vague for me to remember though - something to do with the arm position being conflicted by the hands though.
That shit cray
She's putting a foot behind her and resting most of her weight on it, thus moving her center of gravity away from the other person.
Weightlifting is weird in that if your center of gravity is fucked in any way, its impossible. Try lifting a chair of the ground by one leg, its incredibly difficult.
She's putting a foot behind her and resting most of her weight on it, thus moving her center of gravity away from the other person.
I can attest this. I've seen the full version.
It's elbows. She's holding her hands at their elbows.
I saw this trick on YouTube Video, they cant lift her, because she puts her arm on their arms, and pushes them down. I couldn't find the original video i watched, but i hope it will help you to understand.

It's not pressure points, nor is it centre of gravity as such (that's too vague). I want to know if anyone can properly identify the method.
It's simple leverage. Where she's positioning her arms makes them push against them self.
It's not pressure points, nor is it centre of gravity as such (that's too vague). I want to know if anyone can properly identify the method.
already been "identified" a little further up, what more could you want
It's not pressure points, nor is it centre of gravity as such (that's too vague). I want to know if anyone can properly identify the method.
Eh there's a video right above you. It isn't pressure points it's pressing on a tendon, you can clearly see in most videos like your one in the first post that the persons elbow positioning changes and they press on the tendon, Dynamo is notable for doing this. It could be that or center of gravity as the physicist explains, both work, center of gravity arguably is harder to pull off convincingly because obviously you have to position yourself in just the right way, which makes you look extremely obvious whereas the tendon trick you can stand in anyway you want. I seriously don't know what you want. The Penn & Teller video actually answers it after that brief clip aswell, unless your looking for their exact definition or explanation, in which case I assume your not asking questions as much as your waiting for someone to give the "proper" answer.
she just leans backwards
Yes, my bad. Some people here have nailed it, but I wanted to see how many people did so.
Yes, my bad. Some people here have nailed it, but I wanted to see how many people did so.
Yeah, it's definitely the gravity thing.
Well clearly she put on weight. There was a cut and she ate loads of fucking cake and came back and he couldn't lift her because of all the cake weight.
