In the real world, the future is shinier and cleaner. In CG, the future is making things more and more convincingly dirty.

My question is simple. Why do Portal mod developers ONLY get their ideas from Valve, how come they can't think on their own and have their own original puzzles and themes?

Why not just wait until the actual game comes out?
