• I throw the FFXV Benchmark at the Alienware Alpha R2 (R9 M470x model)

I'm probably way off on my custom config, but i also get the feeling that there's only so much that can be changed on the INI files. Also, i love how the performance i got is considered to be acceptable as per Square-Enix, which honestly gives me more questions about the original console versions. (like, does it struggle to maintain 30FPS?)
Square enix cheaping out on their PC port again i guess, but... you're on an underclocked alienware crap box, the stuttering looks like a CPU bottleneck and with the Alienware Alpha r2's 2.2ghz dual core mobile cpu any game that actually uses the cpu will have these issues. That probably has something to do with it why it's so *exceptionally* bad, at least.

If it's not 30 fps then it's 20 or below.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 'hold button to attack or dodge' simplicity wasn't just Tabata wanting to make gameplay easily accessible but also the developers silently trying to make the game actually be able to be played. Maybe it's just the benchmark, but it does seem like a large amount of the problem is also from unoptimized effects and really bad culling.
