Hasn't he been dead for 10 years?
Hasn't he been dead for 10 years?
Nope. Only 8. He died in 06.
Arguably one of the most influential herpetologists to have ever walked the earth. Probably would not be where I am today without people like him to look up to as a kid.
Nope. Only 8. He died in 06.
Jesus christ I've posted here when he died it was like 3 years ago What the fuck I've been here for 8 years already Where does time go
Be at one with the snake. FEEL IT SON
i can't believe it's been 8 years. time flies man. i remember hearing the news, and all those facepunch avatars we all had
Still unbelievable to me he died and even to the rest of Australia, even after 8 years people still miss him. I remember getting home from school one day and the news was everywhere, every channel had breaking coverage of what was going on and the radio stopped to just broadcast the news, it was a huge thing to happen and he is still dearly missed
Why the fuck don't we get great people like that for children to look up to today? I can't think of one person who's still a big science hero among children.
i can't think of one person period.
Bill Nye. Steve Irwin. Carl Sagan. I grew up watching those three people.
Bill Nye. Steve Irwin. Carl Sagan. I grew up watching those three people.
I remember actually watching Bill Nye in school back in the day. Unfortunately our school stopped that quickly after realizing he's an atheist. The bible belt ain't cool, yo.
There did seem to be more actually informative animal shows when I was growing up. Steve Irwin, David Attenborough, Jack Hanna, the Kratt brothers (well known for zoboomafoo), etc. Now most animal "experts" on TV are idiots. I especially loathe the "turtle man", he flat out lies and improperly handles animals.
Great tribute video for a great guy.
my tv still shows him
Damn, this video reminded me how much I liked watching him annoy exotic animals back when I was a teenager. I can't believe it's been so many years already.
Nope. Only 8. He died in 06.
It's seven.. He passed on the 4th of September, 06. (06-07), (07-08), (08-09), (09-10), (10-11), (11-12), (12-13) It will be the eighth anniversary next year. [4/9/14] Also, Good to see MelodySheep releasing videos again!
A toast for Steve! To the man who died the way he lived. With animals in his heart.
A toast for Steve! To the man who died the way he lived. With animals in his heart.
Oh god! I don't know how to react!
Also, Good to see MelodySheep releasing videos again!
The Terra Lumina album he did a while back was fantastic.
Steve Irwin is one of the people I'd want to be like, people like him find enjoyment and inspiration in such things as these.
Better to live a short life doing what you love than to live a long one doing what you hate.
...in such things as these.
Steady on there, Sagan. :v:
This made me really sad. I used to love watching his shows when I was younger
A toast for Steve! To the man who died the way he lived. With animals in his heart.
god damnit
