[sp]I don't require any assistance from some junior minister![/sp] British Politics are fun to watch.
The reactions from the crowd in the court room seriously makes this whole situation feel like an argument between one controversial kid vs a bunch of other students grouped together in the middle of a lunchroom.

why is dodgy such an evil word? is there a meaning I'm not getting? Or are even slight insults not allowed?
why is dodgy such an evil word? is there a meaning I'm not getting? Or are even slight insults not allowed?
Implications in the British meaning that are pretty strong. It'd be like directly calling Barack Obama "scummy" or "corrupt" in a floor speech to congress.
I remember being a "wee lad" here in the U.S., watching hilarious British programs with my great grandparents such as Are You Being Served?, Keeping Up Appearances, The House of Commons, and Monty Python. Good times, always "had a laugh".
What a fucking hero, I can't believe he didn't withdraw it either Honestly though this country has fallen into pieces :v:
The reactions from the crowd in the court room seriously makes this whole situation feel like an argument between one controversial kid vs a bunch of other students grouped together in the middle of a lunchroom.
Cameron, Obsorne and May have these shit eating grins on their faces like they're part of Slytherin house and Gryffindor just got docked 15 points.
It's moronic that these people are supposed to be representing us but are content with chanting at each other like a bunch of football hooligans. Wish someone would wipe the shit-eating grins off their faces.
i gotta say, i really find the speaker of the house to have a lot of character than others, he seems to bring a bit of colour into the house of commons
After Lizzie passes away, John Bercow should become King. Or they should at least build statues of him. Top-quality banter
i gotta say, i really find the speaker of the house to have a lot of character than others, he seems to bring a bit of colour into the house of commons
tories tried ousting him but he survived the vote long may John Bercow reside as Speaker of the House of Commons!
I hope this becomes a trend when more call him out in that Commons of House
I hope this becomes a trend when more call him out in that court room thing
Omg it's called the House of Commons. You should know, because Canada literally has a House of Commons too
Implications in the British meaning that are pretty strong. It'd be like directly calling Barack Obama "scummy" or "corrupt" in a floor speech to congress.
You know if Obama had just been implicated in tax avoidance, highlighting a huge conflict of interest and shining light on how amoral it is to impoverish the poor and disabled over cutting the budget deficit whilst contributing and benefiting from the fact that corporations don't pay their taxes whilst you actively allow them not to, I doubt people would be complaining if somebody called him corrupt.
Whakt a legendary man
why is dodgy such an evil word? is there a meaning I'm not getting? Or are even slight insults not allowed?
In the houses all members of parliament must remain respectful and polite to each other, refraining from call one another names, no matter how deserved. That's why everyone refers to each other as right honourable gentleman / lady. Its part of the theatrics of the houses.
Any more sick House of Common vids?
Kicked out for saying what everyone else is thinking and actually doing his fucking job as an MP, what a fucking joke the house of commons is, if i had 5 minutes in there i'd get banned for life for punching the tory front bench in their smug looking faces, and telling the rest of the stupid twats in the back who just makes stupid noises to shut the fuck up and do your job.

There's a standard (surprisingly) set in stone by the people who initially made it hundreds of years ago, if there was no rules to what you can say, it'd be a shit fest
This seems so much more fun than American Congress.
This seems so much more fun than American Congress.
Because Americans don't know about banter lol
because dodgy is such an offensive word.......
Is dodgy a word you would use in a thesis? No? Then don't use it in parliament. It also has to do with the fact of how he said it and how it was used - for name calling.
tories tried ousting him but he survived the vote long may John Bercow reside as Speaker of the House of Commons!
The video of that vote is a pretty good one, especially the look he gives to the government benches after reading the result
I was hoping that he'd think of another more offensive word to use before leaving.
