Yeah! Now that a truly reasonable and intelligent individual will enter office, Putin wants to restore relationships with the US! Every Trump supporter will believe exactly that. Meanwhile in reality Putin is looking to play Trump like fiddle, who is quite obviously an idiot.
So does this mean that Trump either won't address Crimea annexation at all, or call it a valid "reclamation of russian land"?
I can't believe Putin is happy that America has a less stable and experienced President, I can't think of any reason or way that would benefit russia
It means that, amongst other things, he's a more naive/manipulable president which is good for putin since he's been wanting to expand into europe, but both Obama and Hillary caused/would have caused him quite the trouble, while trump has not only already expressed good relations with Russia and Putin, but he's got some terrible foreign policies, which also means that the Eastern States might lose intrest in america and "gain" interest in russia.
I think he was being sarcastic.
Hakkar was being sarcastic but you explained the situation well.
I can't believe Putin is happy that America has a less stable and experienced President, I can't think of any reason or way that would benefit russia
Trump has said on multiple occasions that he is willing to cut funding or entirely pull out of NATO. You can understand why that position alone would be of incredible interest to Russian.
Putin looks a lot older than I remembered.
He stopped putting on makeup because he knows Trump will accept him no matter what.
He stopped putting on makeup because he knows Trump will accept him no matter what.
Russia and US shipping just became canon.
Until Trump was elected, I had always played down Russia's aggression. I mean, sure, it wasn't to be ignored, but so long as the member nations of NATO stood together, we'd be good. But now that the US could be looking to legitimately greatly limit their contributions... Well shit. I'm honestly scared of what Russia might do.
More fear mongering, Russia extends an olive branch every time a new President enters office. He did it with Obama too, or did we just conveniently forget that happened? Remember that big red button Hillary busted out in the first few years of Obama's tenure to 'reset' things?

Then Putin got back in power (not that he was ever out of it) and fucked things up.
Yeah and it worked for a while. Then Putin got back in power (not that he was ever out of it) and fucked things up.
It'll be the same this time too. Republicans and Trump aren't going to let Russia do whatever they want, you can look back to 2008 and how Bush dealt with tensions in Georgia. I would say we've become disassociated with reality if the current consensus is that Republicans are going to go easy on Russia and let them do whatever they want compared to Democrats. Republicans have a long history of being strong opponents to Russia, I don't see why that would suddenly change now because Democrats are upset about the election and Russia's involvement with the email scandal benefiting Trump. Hell if Russia is such a worrying topic for Democrats now then why did everyone on the left get such a chuckle when Romney stated this and Obama said the 80's called and want their foreign policy back?
We're the ones with the sanctions on them, why are they the ones that get to announce openness to restoring relations... Putin is just proud to have a usable idiot head of the greatest western superpower.
It's silly that Putin doesn't speak fluent english.
lol fiddle
It's silly that Putin doesn't speak fluent english.
Russians would respect him less.
