Take the "s" out of "https".
Still not impressed with the weapon effects. By Comparison, Tachyon The Fringe has better looking laser effects and it came out 14 years ago
I think they're still placeholder until they get better optimization
Too bad its unplayable for me, even with a 560ti on low
Isn't this supposed to be like EVE in first person? It looks like a space shooter.
War Thunder in space?
Isn't this supposed to be like EVE in first person? It looks like a space shooter.
It's supposed to be a space sim, which it is.
Looks great, but I'm holding my breath to see big ship combat. Just imagining a carrier explode in this game and the aftermath makes me squee inside. If they manage to do the multiplayer alright and continue keeping the quality up, I could see this being the next EVE style game. At least in terms of popularity.
man, i never heard that mix of that song before. i quite liked it.
Isn't this supposed to be like EVE in first person? It looks like a space shooter.
It is the dogfighting alpha, so at the moment yeah it's just a space shooter.
Looks kinda clunky to be honest. But hey it's a dogfighting alpha so it can go anywhere I suppose. The concept of the game is pretty interesting at least.
I'm looking forwards more to the on-foot part of the game, and not so much piloting ships necessarily. So I really, really wonder if this game is going to offer anything on that end. I know there will be some lounge/lobby-type chilling around on-foot, but obviously I want more. I've also heard about rifles and laser pistols, but I've seen nothing and man they sure got a big task ahead of 'em.

Here's one of the few personal weapons they've sort of shown so far; http://starcitizen.wikia.com/wiki/P4SC_Assault_Rifle
You're never safe from shitty music. Not even in space.
I really liked the physics systems for the ships and thrusters...but they seem to have left out inertia completely..
looks like the combat is just holding m1 to fire stream of laserbeams - not very interesting the game tries too hard to compete with eve but will ultimately be mediocre
The bar had been set so high for these guys. I doubt they'll pull it off and make most of their donors happy, it'll most likely turn out to be a big disappointment because the expectations are so high. Then again, they should be high, because of the absolutely immense amount of money they've made before it has even been developed.

In Star Citizen, aside from the under-body cannon with the larger blue stream of projectiles which still isn't that riveting all I'm seeing is tiny, weedy, thin laser projectiles flicking across the screen. Boring.
