I wish this game was on steam for $30 -$40. It is really fun though, despite the current bugs.
Probably the best marketing this game has gotten since it released, from what I've seen.

Green Man Gaming's got it for $45 right now

I don't understand why people think the price of the game is unreasonable. Competitive play + the Terrorist Hunt is endless content, especially with how dynamic the maps/gameplay is. I understand it being over priced in different countries, that really sucks... but wasn't games always $60 like... for a long time?
Is it because CS:GO started off as $25 that everyone thinks a competitive shooter game should be based around that price?

no campaign or anything related to it kinda leaves a sour note. they dedicated all their time to MP instead of making a single player experience but it doesn't really feel like it at all. not to mention the f2p-esque grind for operators along with bonus renown giving microtransactions that make it feel like one of those korean f2p fps games. no balance issues, its just boring and takes a long time to get the ones you want, especially since all the cool ones get taken up in games so you're forced with recruit til you get more and more.

Well for the content that i've seen on the video, that $25 price tag would really make it a very reasonable CS:GO competitor.

The difference between CS:GO and Rainbow Six Siege is all in the engine.
The price tag is probably raised due to all the physics implementations being used in the game.

Yes
Valve's numerous Steam sales and the plethora of games available have lowered consumer's paying price

$15 actually :v:
But you got to remember why games were always $50-60, mass-marketed heavily budgeted AAA games carried out by big companies. In Siege's case, probably spent most of its resources on its technology and marketing, plus how long it took to make the game. $60 could be reasonable in the eyes of the executives, but not to the consumers if they see a game with a lack of content that has a big price tag. Siege could've been $40 honestly with the content it presents.
endless content
rainbow 6 siege has infinite maps

- CSGO never started as 25$ it was always 14.99.
- Rainbow is a MP only title without a singleplayer campaign similiar to CSGO, yet it costs 4 times as much
Many devs fuck Europe over with $=€ currencies making fullprice download titles of 60 eu. I own the game but I'm glad I only paid 34 eu for it. It's good but Ubisoft choosing to make it 60 fucking dollars/euro was the wrong way for a MP only title. And no, devs should not orientate them at CSGO's price. If the game costs fullprice (it costs the same as Metal Gear Solid 5 and Witcher 3) then people expect a bit more content. Yes the gameplay evens it out but they should have given more content for such a high price.
This was a great review, exactly how I feel.

Paying £50 for a multiplayer only game that doesn't seem to have that much content seems way overpriced no matter how good it is, and paying £70 for a digital collectors edition is fucking obscene.
Bad netcode seems to be a common trend in fps games these days. I don't expect them to fix it any time soon.

bad netcode is everywhere, fighting games especially.
I hope they make a proper R6 game with SP using the destruction system. It's a really amazing system, would love to see it used in something more story based.
