My favorite part is at 2:10 "GUYS WE FOUND A BULLET AND BALACLAVA IN THE SAME HOUSE THIS IS CLEARLY EVIDENCE OF ILLEGAL GUN USE BETTER SEIZE THEM" :downsbravo:
I don't understand what you find so wrong about that search.
They seized someones LEGAL property because they suspected they had illegal property. That's like the police seizing your computer because they suspect you have child porn on it. Plus they seized totally irrelevant shit. A farming implement and a fucking balaclava? Are you kidding me?
YEAH BRO, FUCK THE POLICE FOR SEIZING OUR WEAPONS! But seriously, there is nothing wrong with the search, what's your problem OP?
YEAH BRO, FUCK THE POLICE FOR SEIZING OUR WEAPONS! But seriously, there is nothing wrong with the search, what's your problem OP?
OP had his weapons taken away.
That's like the police seizing your computer because they suspect you have child porn on it.
That's usually how it works, yeah.
Ehm, the police ONLY search your shit if they suspect you have shit in your shit. Random searches require certain protocols to be in place and are otherwise illegal.
That's usually how it works, yeah.
Yeah that may have been a bad example in retrospect. But how do you not see something wrong with seizing someones legal property based on the fact that they may have illegal property? I don't like Bob. I call up the Police. "Bob has a shotgun, I've seen him walking around with it and I'm just calling it in." -Police Raid Bob's home- :buddy: [editline]6th May 2011[/editline]
Because that seemingly irrelevant property could be evidence regarding the crime that was committed leading up to the search.
They never mention a previous crime as being grounds for their search. Just a tip-off. I think it's funny how they have to call a completely different unit in just to look at a gun which turns out to a pelt rifle anyway.

If the police search the premises and there is absolutely no evidence of any gun then the person who gave the tip-off will be done for wasting police time. Seeing as there is evidence for gun use I don't see a problem with them seizing the weapons, bear in mind that if there isn't enough evidence against them then the non-illegal weapons will be returned.
I don't know what the laws are in the UK, but if the police have a warrant, or are under serious concern that a search is needed NOW this is perfectly legal. The seizure of the air rifle seems a bit silly, but oh well like I said I don't know the laws in the UK.
I'm not really up to speed with the laws in Britain, so I tend to not judge how stuff works over there. But I never understood why basic patrolman aren't armed. IMO it would save a lot of time, instead of having to call up a special weapons group to deal with armed criminals.
OP is probably American.
Shit man those were some big rounds in his glovebox. I believe the police were in the right for taking the heavy rounds, but what's odd is they couldn't find the gun... I wonder how far they combed the nearby woods.
They also found a fuck-ton of spent bullets, so how was this search not justified?
OP is probably American.
Like I said, in the US, this is perfectly legal. Warrant or not.
OP is probably American.
Don't they just mail your ass to guantanimo for having a balaclava?
Bullets can be used for weapons, so they are dangerous. I can't see anything wrong with this.
I don't understand what you find so wrong about that search.
Because durr guns are a basic human right we need guns to survive police r bad
Hahaha is this how it is over there? This is amazing, they were looking at a single .22lr like it was a fucking bomb
Bullets can be used for weapons, so they are dangerous. I can't see anything wrong with this.
I have a shit ton of ammo in my house. That means the police should raid me? Great logic
I like how they had to have an expert come to tell them it was an airgun, then another expert tell us that if you were in fucking prison for 5 years you can't have one hahaha
I like how they had to have an expert come to tell them it was an airgun, then another expert tell us that if you were in fucking prison for 5 years you can't have one hahaha
Such is life in jolly old England. There was a news story a while back where they took some kids replica guns. Apparently they had to call in a "firearms expert" to figure out the gun is not real.
They also found a fuck-ton of spent bullets, so how was this search not justified?
"Holy shit this guy has a lot of spent brass we had better confiscate his farming implements and this balaclava here!" They probably should have confiscated any stockings or hoodies too right? Those are often worn by criminals. Probably should make sure they didnt have any shovels or rakes, you never know what they could use as a weapon! No ones eyeballs are safe if criminals can get their hands on air guns!!!!!1
watch out they might kill a rabbit or a rat with that 22, or even worse they might injure one!
It's called a warrant. Somehow, someone becomes suspicious of illegal activity and the police check the property for anything that could cause a crime. The police don't just wait for crimes to happen, they stop them as soon as possible. And don't you think a FUCKING BALACLAVA is a little suspicious? Considering how it was found in a home that contained weapons.
Once I found a live .22 round in my elementary school. I didn't know what it was until my dad told me at the time.
And don't you think a FUCKING BALACLAVA is a little suspicious? Considering how it was found in a home that contained weapons.
I have 4 guns in my house, a strongbox full of ammo, and (oh no!) A BALACLAVA!!!!!! Have you ever heard of winter? ITT: Skiers who own firearms are now considered criminals.
Wow, they're really serious about this shit, I can pretty much understand confiscating firearms but why do they need to take his pocket knives and machetes? Might as well take his shovel and his car because I'm pretty sure those can hurt people too.
I have 4 guns in my house, a strongbox full of ammo, and (oh no!) A BALACLAVA!!!!!! Have you ever heard of winter? Don't you think seeing a balaclava that looks like the typical criminal's balaclava next to a fucking bullet will stir up a little bit of suspicion. And you're raging. Hard. Over something that really is nothing. You need to calm the hell down.
