Final projects for this semester are coming around, over the last week or two I've had to whip together a few videos. I'm a media studies and production major, meaning that half my course work is production based (making videos, doing radio/television broadcast work), and the other half is trying to understand the big complicated thing that is our mediated society. My one professor is really, really heavy on the idea of memes as a broader concept, and the idea that true originality is hard to come by in our society when most things are a modified copy of something else. So for a video project I figured I'd copy something to illustrate the point (hopefully changing enough and crediting the original enough to do so in good taste).

I tried to have fun with this as a pretty big fan of VSauce and webshows like it. I don't usually post projects here, but figured this one might be fun to discuss.
what's with the background audio noise during the first song? it's really distracting
We need the power of memes to get out of mama Earth's nest

In all honesty, I've got no idea. The copy of the song I used has that audio in the background, I guess the copy that the actual VSauce channel uses is special. I did notice it, I just chose to stick with it because its one of the more iconic songs. It is annoying as hell though
I was really hoping to see the word "Meme" huge on the screen in white letters.
your voice is too baritone and glorious to make me think of vsauce, but the production and the content matter feels like something straight out of one of his videos
the only thing you're somewhat lacking in is the mannerisms which aren't that important for this kind of project

yeah, your hands weren't moving at the speed of light so i didn't feel the vsauce
We are all pawns controlled by memes. The DNA of the soul.
You sound kinda like Mike Rowe
Fuck, this is great. I love it!
Ive had a feeling for awhile that everything in life was, ultimately, just a meme. This video confirmed my thoughts.
