They have shit mileage and high engine oil consumption (and as such not very environmentally friendly), not to mention requires more "service attention" than a piston engine.

Yeah, enjoy rebuilding your motor every 80k. Although I will testify to strict, scheduled maintenance on the wenkel engine will greatly extend the lifespan of the apex seals. I've seen rotaries hit 150k, easy.
That GTR though, at a 200hp deficit it still manages to stay in there

Okay as someone who's gone to only one of these meetups, it's almost crazy how much movies like Fast n Furious. Most of those guys are just a bunch of rich normal guys wanting to race somewhere that doesn't cost a million bucks to take it out for a spin.

It's because that thing has mad amounts of acceleration, not much up top. I mean, compared to a turbo-charged RX7. The turbo REALLY kicks in at those higher RPMs.
Fuck man, that thing is a beast and I think that has reinforced my urge to buy an rx7 or something like that (fr layout car) in the future...when I get off my ass and get a job.
The camaro didnt stand a chance, the GT-R almost did.

On the other hand they have ridiculous amounts of horsepower.
They're the diametrically opposite of a turbodiesel engine.
