Goddamn that was brutal for a song segment to watch.
I only watch this show to cringe now.
Words can not describe the impact this video has had on my psyche.
Oh man, this weirdly hypersexual song will certainly do GOOD things for the LGBT community! This is the perfect thing to help society accept LGBT people.

"my vagina has its own voice"
"Sometimes I do a voice for my vagina, please tell me I'm not the only one who does that"
This sucks.
Bill Nye the Weimar Guy
I was happy to see alton brown in this show, then backed the fuck away when will wheaton was in the preview for the series.
Haven't watched the video yet (on mobile), but I can say that I watched the first two episodes of this show on Netflix and it's... Mediocre? It felt like Bill Nye was relying too heavily on guest 'correspondents' and panelists instead of his own passion and excitement. Also quite a lot of the comedy fell flat.
I'd be curious to hear if anyone else here has watched the show

They are trying reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly hard to connect with the Millennials if you hadn't noticed.
Despite all the cringe in the show you guys are talking about, does it still feel like a Bill Nye show? I mean does he at least talk about interesting scientific studies or is it all just, "How do you do fellow kids?"

There is some science (the best parts), but it is very politicized, and the jokes/segments regularly fall flat or panders a great deal to the millennial audience in awkward ways.
Overall the show sucks, but that is my view on it.
"Cause my sex junk is so oh, oh, oh"
"much more than either or, or, or"
Genius. Did they get Kendrick to ghost write for this shit?

They ghost write for Kendrick.
I'm currently ~4 episodes in. The show feels very awkward, and rushed at times. Most interview/panels don't last above 5-10 minutes and it always feels like every body is speaking rapid fire for a chance to talk. The show itself is an interesting concept, disproving common myths and beliefs that otherwise stagnate our development as a society, but it feels like whoever is directing/producing the show has a vey low opinion of the viewing audience. Like their attention span can't handle anything that isn't spoonfed or summarized in 10 seconds.

It is just a really poorly made show altogether.
Even the theme song by Tyler the Creator is complete shit and I love Tyler. You can tell he made the song on a MIDI sample keyboard probably over an afternoon and had someone from Loiter Squad just say Bill over and over again.
So much wasted potential.
I couldn't get through the first episode, it was absolutely terrible.

I thought you were exaggerating about the theme but... What the fuck?

Well that was mildly racist.
Normally I don't care cause it is in the name of comedy and satire, but the jokes suck, and I am sure that guy sincerely wants people to change their behavior over ridiculous things. Like you shouldn't display a Buddha as a white person, despite Buddhism spanning several continents and supporting no racial exclusivity.
Just should rename the show to "Bill Nye: Indoctrinates the World" with that kind of unscientific crap.

nuke bill nye
Wow this is super disillusioning.
Like, Bill Nye did so much to get kids interested in science, but this show is in the same tier as that MTV "New Years Resolutions for White Guys" garbage.
Wasn't this gonna be a show about how we can save the environment and make life better through the use of exciting new technology? What the hell happened?

The first episode was on environment, but even that was shit when they started talking about using Nuclear power and Bill was like "Eh, nobody wants that" (How scientific to ignore a technology based on public opinion btw) and just completely ignored the Nuclear-advocate for it during his "debate" panel that only had 5 minutes to talk about the issue. It mostly turned into a soapbox for this one guy who has been discredited before on his utopian-esque plans on a real Ted Talk debate. That is ofcourse my opinion from the debate, but this dude obviously is very idealistic if you watch Bill's show or this debate.
Bill Nye has kind of always been like this as far as I can tell in recent history. When he popped up around Obama's second election making speeches is when I noticed.
Just more people seeing how much of a political advocate he is in comparison to the Science guy-side.
Combine that with the show's cringey presentation, and pandering towards trying to be hip, and finally Bill Nye stamping his approval on it either by metaphorical gunpoint or actual enthusiasm, it is a trainwreck.

So... is it just me, or is this implying that it's bad to be straight? Like, it ends with them all jumping in a bowl and gang-banging (since, as we all learned from that wonderful Sex Junk song, members of the LGBT community are just horny as all get out and will sleep with ANYTHING), there's not even an ice cream cone who's like "that's not my thing, but you guys have fun!" or anything.
You're either part of the orgy of inclusiveness or you're a bigot (who's secretly just hiding how kinky they are to please imaginary sky papa)? Because that's kinda the message I got from this and holy shit how did anyone think this was a good idea?

You might be on to something, but all I know is that the video was more uncomfortable than the ending of Sausage Party.
Oh god. I stopped watching mid-way through the fourth episode because I just couldn't stand how bland it was, but I didn't expect it to get this bad.
If they had have actually uses statistics and figures, debunked common misconceptions and not pandered to what they think young people are interested in, it would have turned out so much better. There are so many interesting things to talk about in the area of climate change alone, such as albedo, the melting permafrost in Syberia, the effects on fisheries, the acidification of the ocean, etc.
The show is just boring at best and cringey at worst, even the fucking title is awful.
The show is essentially a much shittier Penn & Teller: Bullshit that caters to PC-culture/SJWs.
It is pretty fucking bad when the show hosted by Libertarian magicians does a better job exploring complex topics and science than this crap.

Pretty much. Cosmos is going to remain gold-standard in science shows for a long time if things keep going like this. Literally all I want is a science show that covers topics debated in the public sphere (climate change, artificial intelligence, alternate medicine, electric vehicles, vaccines, etc) but with the depth of Cosmos and answering questions or myths that people think about the subjects.
I miss learning about dinosaurs.

Wow, the content even starts to Contradict each other.
The Music Video says that it's a Choice, you can choose.
But the Icecream video says you are made that way, you are what you are, not a choice.

Also calling being Gay/Trans Evolution is insulting, it's pretty much saying that it's recent, in the last few thousand years, it's new, that humans weren't originally like this, when in reality, we were like this since the dawn of mankind.
Man all he had to do was make Bill Nye the Science Guy more modern, not EXTREME modern.
I'm sad too because I love Rachel Bloom's work, but this is sad.
