On CNN no less. This video should be memorialized :v:
Why cant we talk about both?
Somehow, common sense means more when it's coming from him.
Wow, not just one sane thing, but two!
The things Glenn Beck would have us talk about instead are FEMA Camps, Marxism, Obama Care, and Reverse Racism. [editline]24th December 2013[/editline] http://www.theblaze.com/ Lets see him fucking practice what he preaches.

[editline]24th December 2013[/editline] http://www.theblaze.com/ Lets see him fucking practice what he preaches.
I'd rather see people talking about actual politics and world events; rather than about some bimbo star's day-to-day and the newest season of insert show here. That's why watching (most) of the news on television is just painful. :v:
I don't see how what the Duck Dynasty guy said is much different to what Okhlobystin said
christ I'm literally vibrating this is hard to compute most pundits turn out pretty smart about shit when they're not actively trying to maintain their home audience, but even I'm surprised he didn't use the popular duck discussion to platform some weird ideological rant, let alone go off on the FOX 'War on Christmas' tangent from the extremely important santa debate
I don't see how what the Duck Dynasty guy said is much different to what Okhlobystin said
You seriously don't see the difference between one guy going "I think homosexuality is a sin" and another going "I want to burn all homosexuals alive in ovens"?
You seriously don't see the difference between one guy going "I think homosexuality is a sin" and another going "I want to burn all homosexuals alive in ovens"?
Not really. They were both saying the same thing that homosexuality is bad and should be punished. The rest is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. One said that gays should be burned alive, the other that they should burn in hell for eternity, but does it even matter?
Not really. They were both saying the same thing that homosexuality is bad and should be punished. The rest is irrelevant as far as I'm concerned
there's a minor difference between "god will sort things out", "let's prevent them from marrying", and "let's fuckin' rebuild Auschwitz" the fact they both think it's a sin is the most irrelevant part of how their view makes them terrible human beings
there's a minor difference between "god will sort things out", "let's prevent them from marrying", and "let's fuckin' rebuild Auschwitz" the fact they both think it's a sin is the most irrelevant part of how their view makes them terrible human beings
Whatever. I really don't want to argue about this, I don't think that "which semi-famous guy on TV is a bigger homophobe" is an argument worth having
Whatever. I really don't want to argue about this, I don't think that "which semi-famous guy on TV is a bigger homophobe" is an argument worth having
no wait hold on this isn't just being a homophobe, this is about being a genuinely psychopathic god awful human being. Forget comparisons Forget duck dynasty a real politician with real power out in the world just put it out there, "I think the gays are so awful that I'd want to literally one-up Hitler in how I go about the mass genocide"

Isn't Glenn Beck the guy that had some fairly intelligent and open-minded televised discussions with Penn Jillette?
Isn't Glenn Beck the guy that had some fairly intelligent and open-minded televised discussions with Penn Jillette?
Before he went completely batshit, yes.
who is that woman she's really attractive
Honestly though I think he's eccentric and wrong, I've always had more respect for and thought that Beck was more intelligent than most other conservative pundits.
;43306881']Honestly though I think he's eccentric and wrong, I've always had more respect for and thought that Beck was more intelligent than most other conservative pundits.
That's quite the condemnation of the other pundits.
"We shouldn't be talking about things that are minor compared to worse things happening elsewhere" isn't really a sane argument, it's an attempt at deflection. Of course Glenn Beck doesn't want to talk about homophobia in America because he's perfectly content with America's current level of homophobia.
Before he went completely batshit, yes.
He hasn't ever really went batshit insane. It's kinda obvious he acts according to what his audience is. The batshit insane audience is just how he makes money.
This is a really well done video by the Onion.
Glenn beck is the most sensible man on american TV for 1 minute 35 seconds straight. It's time to stop making TV USA, you lost, go home.
Hetero-facism? Theres a word for that, its called homophobia.
never thought I'd agree with Glenn Beck is it the end times already
Holy shit. He actually is saying something sane. I thought it was a joke. It's come a long way.. He seems like he maybe has calmed down, but I haven't heard anything about him in ages.
This actually doesn't surprise me, because I've always thought Glenn Beck was a wildcard, a mixed bag of sane and insane.
I recently discovered that Glenn Beck writes political thriller novels. Curious, I glanced through one at a bookstore and found it was well written - and actually fairly engaging - within the 10 or so pages that I read. His opinions are in there - but, I mean, it's a thriller novel. I don't care about his opinions as long as the book is entertaining. I may even pick it up one day. See, Glenn Beck is pretty smart; no matter what ridiculous BS he and the other hosts (O'reilly, Limbaugh, etc.) spew out, you cannot survive in that business without having brains and charisma. They are right wing in their views, but not to the extent that they portray via the media. FOX New's biggest audience are Republican, Christian, Cold-War baby boomers, whose opinions are being contested by a changing world. They listen to people like Beck, Limbaugh, and O'reilly to feel good about their opinions. The hosts say things that get Democrats riled up and the political climate remains stormy (and entertaining), not because they are making a personal statement. These guys are extremely good at appealing to a demographic to get their ratings up - it brings in the cash, and they probably have a good time doing it. I'm not trying to trivialize or villainize the Republican viewpoint; I'm identifying the market FOX News appeals to. Democratic news networks do the same thing with their own demographic, and Republicans find what they say equally as ridiculous. When gay marriage, marijuana, big oil, socialism, and the like, are inevitably sorted out, we may see a HUGE shift in FOX New's outlook at it has to move to a new demographic, given that the Cold-War Baby Boomers will no longer be relevant and the younger Republicans will have new (and likely more political, rather than traditional, issues to discuss). Then again, O'reilly did once ask how the moon got there.
Lest anyone think him completely sane: http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/wed-may-12-2010/back-in-black---glenn-beck-s-nazi-tourette-s
