Probably just a joke or just fucking with people, dont take it seriously
EDIT: What I find interesting though is when you look at the guy who tells his kid to not talk about it, look into his eyes and his hands, he seemed pretty mad for a split second
not just probably a joke, its definitely a joke
I don't care, now I'm hyped because of the smallest probability HL3 may see some airtime. :tinfoil:
I don't care, now I'm hyped because of the smallest probability HL3 may see some airtime. :tinfoil:
HL3 Is something im not sure i really want to come out now... As i fear it might end up like duke nukem forever..
I don't care, now I'm hyped because of the smallest probability HL3 may see some airtime. :tinfoil:
How are you still hyped for that? I've completely lost all interest. I wouldn't even buy HL3 if it came out now.
How are you still hyped for that? I've completely lost all interest. I wouldn't even buy HL3 if it came out now.
thats a lie and you know, you would totally buy it.

HL3 is a meme now
How are you still hyped for that? I've completely lost all interest. I wouldn't even buy HL3 if it came out now.
Every time someone posts this, it's less and less believable.
Every goddamn year someone mentions HL3 and everyone goes nuts but at the end the result is always the same. I'm tired of this, I'll get hyped only if Valve themselves announce it. Not in ARG way, not in update for dota or csgo or anything else.
Mini wheat is #1 [editline]16th June 2015[/editline] This kid was also doing the squid kid meme at the Nintendo World Championships too
Seems pretty silly for valve to devote time and money to developing and maintaining a new game by delegating an entire team to hl3 when it is doing fine as a publisher and trying to get into the hardware business.
HL3 Is something im not sure i really want to come out now... As i fear it might end up like duke nukem forever..
Yeah of course it will end up like Duke Nukem Forever... Except Valve isn't bunch of retards like the 3D Realms team.
Valve would be dicks if they announced via ARG. we've waited long enough - dick move to make us work for it
Then just don't work on it. Let others do the work.
You know that when Valve spends five years on a game, they're spending five years on a game. "Finances? What are those?"
Seems pretty silly for valve to devote time and money to developing and maintaining a new game by delegating an entire team to hl3 when it is doing fine as a publisher and trying to get into the hardware business.
They're a billion dollar company. If they're not expanding at a rate in order to keep up with what consumers expect from them as a company, that's on them and the community is completely justified in criticizing them for it. There's no reason a company as influential as Valve should be half the size of Crytek.
Problem with Half-Life 3 now is even if it was a reality; there is absolutely no damn way it will ever live up to the hype.
Problem with Half-Life 3 now is even if it was a reality; there is absolutely no damn way it will ever live up to the hype.
Personally, I am done at this point, I really really want it, even if it is a "meh" game, I still want it mainly for the story. IMO, Half life lore is my favorite lore of all time, it is the only game I have spent countless hours reading up on. do want now
Problem with Half-Life 3 now is even if it was a reality; there is absolutely no damn way it will ever live up to the hype.
People keep saying this and I don't really get it. All people want is an ending to the series, no? Since Episode Two left it on a cliffhanger. What is there to get hyped over beyond that? The possibilities in Half-life 3 certainly aren't that exciting. And if they are, you can only blame your own imagination.
Valve's too busy making money off steam and dota 2 anyways, we don't even know if a HL3 is even in the works at the moment I really fucking hate how quiet Valve is, and it's actually starting to make me hate the company as a whole. I don't want to get to that point.
HL3 is going down the path of Duke Nukem Forever now.
It's not. Duke Nukem Forever was a game that got locked up in development hell. Half-life 3 is a game that hasn't even been confirmed to be in development yet.
thats a lie and you know, you would totally buy it.
What makes you so sure? Me personally, I don't think I'd buy it either. And that's mostly because I've grown up after so many years have gone by, and I simply don't have the interest in video games that I used to. If HL3 is ever announced, my reaction would probably be along the lines of "oh cool". I'm not excited about it anymore though; it's not something I'd react strongly to or feel the urge to buy. I might buy it later on someday, but even then there'd be no guarantee. There was a time when I was really excited about it, but that was a long time ago. At this point, I've just got the mentality of whatever happens happens. Either it's going to happen and it's going to come out, or it isn't. It doesn't matter to me anymore. There's been no news about it, no concrete evidence it's in development, no reason to be hyped at all. Nothing but years of rumors, and nothing to show for them. And that's been terribly disappointing, so I can understand why so many other people out there feel the same way and now have little to no interest in it.
At this point, if Half Life 3 doesn't come with a cure for cancer with every copy, it's not going to live up to the hype
i just wish the idea of even half life 3 dies, because we know its not happening ever untill valve trys to make a game instead of making money off of only microtransactions.
I wish everyone wouldn't get so uppity about Half Life 3, and then proceed to bitch about what Valve wants to do instead of Half Life. They're allowed to do what they want to do, stop being so fucking entitled.

There's also the fact that they promised an episode 3, so the story is still on a cliffhanger years and years later. It would be different if we got to see the end of Half-Life 2 story arc and were waiting on Half-Life 3 in a new setting, it would make it that bit more bearable.

And if Steam would be possible without Half Life is disputable but you will never know.
