The bronies are going to be disappointed that the horses have no gender.
[sp]I'm sure someone will mod shit in.[/sp]
Also I hope that it's optimized. That's the only thing I'm really hoping for. I know the game will be great, just the optimization will be a hit, or it'll be smooth as butter.
Man, it's good to see there will be variety in the armors.
such a gorgeous game
I'll be honest Geralt looks hot shirtless.
I can already tell this is going to be a decent game. Worth picking up.
If the main character can run around shirtless, your game is already confirmed to be good.
Just look at Snake Eater, that's how you do it.
can't wait to see the titties in this one
I wasn't a fan of the first witcher, mostly because the combat felt a bit boring to me, but it honestly looks really quite good from the short glimpses I saw. Looking forward to trying it, for sure
I hope this will have boob physics like Witcher 1 titties. W2 was super disappointing in that regard.

Witcher 2 is a more accurate measurement on what to expect. TW1 despite having nice writing just couldn't match up with pacing and gameplay whereas TW2 was miles forward.
that bear just bit that dude's dick off
*preorders*
Do I have to play the previous games to understand what's going on in Witcher 3?
Do I have to play the previous games to understand what's going on in Witcher 3?
We don't really know yet.
Do I have to play the previous games to understand what's going on in Witcher 3?
You should play them anyway for their own merits. TW1 is kind of boring but the story keeps you going and TW2 is better in every way but instead of dealing with Geralt's identity, it focuses on a larger scale and the game changes dramatically depending on the choice you make at the end of Act 1
Do I have to play the previous games to understand what's going on in Witcher 3?
CDPR has said before that newcomers should be able to jump right in and be fine. Both previous games have self contained stories, the only thing playing the previous ones would do for you is just familiarize you with the recurring characters, and the world itself.
But what if you haven't played the first two? Let's say you don't have the time to go back and invest hours on end into the series. Will you be lost when playing Wild Hunt? Not according to lead producer Piotr Krzywonosiuk.
"You don't need to play the previous games. It's not required at all," he told us last week.
"The Witcher 1 is a standalone story. Sure it's the same universe and it's still Geralt but it does not require prior knowledge.
"We will make sure -- it's very important to us -- that new players will be introduced slowly to the game," he assured. "They'll understand with the prologue what it is to be witcher, the monster hunter, what he does and how he does it. And we'll gradually introduce characters that matter in the story so that players won't feel lost or confused at all."
I just hope it won't hurt the sales since there's a "3" in the title
I just hope and pray for it not to be clunky. If it is I'll simply not be able to stand playing it, like the TW2

Enhanced version of TW2 didn't seem that clunky.

TW2 combat doesnt really fit with clunky. You had to pick your moves carefully and couldn't spam and cancel/transition between moves instantly like certain other games, but that just means it's not your cup of tea. Reactions were snappy, hit detection spot on, lots of variety. Some of the menus were clunky, but im not seeing it otherwise.
Also they need to go back to the old fistfighting/dice poker if they bring it back.
always get a bit confused when people say they don't like tw2 cos it's clunky or too difficult or whatever. yeh it's pretty hard and takes some thought and patience but i like that about it. completely understandable if people don't like that but if you play it on easy it is essentially a hack and slash action game so there's that alternative too

When I attempted to play it I had just come from playing hours upon hours of Dark Souls so it just felt like I was always fighting with the combat system rather than enjoying it sadly.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's great and what I played of it was fantastic, it's just I couldn't stand the clunky combat and movement.

To be honest, there was only one moment in the entire game (TW2) that was a big difficulty spike. Without giving anything away the Act 1 boss was pretty tough compared to the rest of Act 1. Before and after that it's fairly easy.
You have to invest a few skill points into some of the movement/parry/counter skills in the swordsman tree and then the combat really opens up. Geralt becomes much more responsive and mobile.

when you play on dark mode pretty much every boss is a 1 hit kill lol
First time playing TW2 I played it on darkmode. Good shit.
when you play on dark mode pretty much every boss is a 1 hit kill lol
Okay, I'm talking about the normal difficulty. Which a lot of players play and I remember a lot of players having problems with that boss me included.
i thought that boss was fine you just gotta dodge the obvious attacks
the moments when the game ramps up the bullshit levels is when they throw like 300 enemies at you. i can beat any one-hit kill enemy one vs one but that bit where you pick up the quest item and then [sp]a hundred harpies spawn on top of you[/sp] is bullshit
