Why didn't Nintendo want to actually do a press conference at E3 this year anyway? Do they really feel like they can't match-up to the other big dogs these days?

[editline]29th June 2015[/editline] also, it shows the confidence nintendo has in their product, they don't have to hype up the audience with flashy shows and cars being lifted from the ceiling, they just show some shit. that makes the press approach a lot more fair as it's not built on the hype you get being surrounded in a room of a cheering crowd.

I think this videos are usually hilarious.
Funny video, I haven't touched a Nintendo game in ages and it still doesn't look like they've made anything I'd be interested in, in a while. Is the WiiU still flopping hard?

The Wii U is still flopping, but Splatoon sold over a million, so it's the best selling new IP they've made in a really long time.

There are a TON of good games on it, Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Brothers, Splatoon, Bayonetta 1/2, Wonderful 101, So on and so forth.

The approach of just showing games would work if the games were worth showing on their own. And isn't the Wii U doing awful in terms of sales?
I fucking love yarn.
Kirby's Epic Yarn - Kirby + Yoshi = Yoshi's Epic Yarn. Solid Nintendo :v:

Also not predicting the casual market shift from motion controls to mobile gaming.

At this point, it has lots of solid titles, even if the hardware screams 2010 smartphone. Its really the only way to get decent mobile games aside from a Vita.
Nintendo's E3 conference was altogether disappointing for me. I mean, they have plenty of games coming out that I'm really interested in, but almost all of them were announced before the conference. I look forward to E3 because I expect big and unexpected announcements. Instead I got details on a bunch of games that I knew were coming out plus a few others that almost seemed like the dregs that were left over after everything else had already been announced. Maybe since the Wii U hasn't been doing so well, they're trying to constantly reassure people that games are on the way? Who knows. If it's one over the other I'd say 3DS every time unless you're like me and can't live without the console version of Smash Bros.

That new Metroid game looks like absolute ass though. That series better get a good reboot, especially after that disaster that was Other M.
