Japanese celebrities attempting to speak English correctly using Siri

Pretty fun. It's hard to imagine how difficult it must be to pronounce a sound that's not in your native tongue...a lot of them really have trouble with the "L/R" sounds getting mixed up.

The girl in the first video has a very american accent, so strange to hear it after the others :v:
"An oz of luck is better than a pound of wisdom"
I wonder how German would work out for them

I think the sub's just used the abbreviation for ounce instead of spelling it out
Effortlessly saying "See you" after she walks off with all the money. :v: Fucking cold.

Def. The best part.
To be fair Siri kind of sucks, even when I pronounce things multiple times and at a slow pace Sometimes I have to say things to the point where it would've have just been easier to go into the app and do it myself

The older dude in the brown jacket almost put on a Irish accent when pronouncing alarm, I know for a fact i'd fail just as much as those two guys in the video I can't put on an american accent to save my life, even after watching Seinfeld.
I feel like I've only ever seen japanese TV that has this film style and is uploaded with a similarly poor quality

Why are some on-screen words in Japanese and a random few in English? Do you have to be bilingual to understand all of it?

If you're talking about thre text onscreen and not the subtitles, afaik basic English is taught in schools over there.
You'll see English sprinkled here and there in Japanese media, they think English is pretty cool and hip.
Also I don't know if I just noticed it but, the younger guy in the first video said, in English, "What the fuck" when he got something wrong. I wasn't expecting that. :v:
I got way too into this.
Another video is out for part 4

There was one JAV video I saw of Anri Okita where she spoke almost perfect flawless English in the first 10 minutes. This was before it became "well known" that she could speak it fluently. It was so fucking jarring that I couldn't really understand what was happening. It sounded like she had been speaking it for basically her entire life, and it was almost devoid of any typical accents. She occasionally struggled with Ls and Rs but if anything her accent was mostly Californian valley girl but not really at the same time. It was really fucking weird. [sp]And HOT.[/sp]

Holy shit that part with "Worcestershire sauce" in part 4. Most people I know don't even attempt to pronounce it and just fall with some mocked version of it, yet the first two got it on the first try.
I bet Siri's voice detection is super forgiving with the pronunciation of that phrase.

That's not all that bad for a good dinner for one person.
Biggest problem is that in English nothing is pronounced like it is written making it one mess of a language when it comes to pronouncing words.
