Do you need to play the other Witcher games to play this?

I REALLY hope this runs ok on my laptop cuz I don't have the money for a PS4. Fingers crossed that CDPR learned how to optimize.

A lot of the lore is actually easy to read up ingame with books, similar to Elder Scrolls. So, I'd say Witcher 3 will do a similar job.

Just beat TW2 yesterday. [sp]Ioverth path plus letting Letho walk and saving Saiska[/sp] While the ending was super abrupt, its quite clear its leading directly into the TW3, pretty fucking pumped to see how my choices change TW3, it seems the game drastically changes in TW2 from choices and had no idea until I beat it. Also all the foreshadowing to the Wild Hunt and now actually dealing with it in TW3 is going to be great. Plus it will be nice seeing the general improvements, some of the shit in TW2 was pretty shit. Boss fights since ACT2 all started off right next to me, making me get hit no matter what at the start(most likely a bug on my end but it was shit) Some REALLY fucking bad hitboxes on some enemys and attacks, mostly the bigger ones. Honestly, if the hitboxes are much better than all my major problems with TW2 will be fixed.

I went [sp]Roche path. Let Roche kill Henselt. Let Saskia live. Let Letho live. I can't remember how I handled Anais. But this should make for an interesting turn of events in 3 given the death of Henselt since he has no heirs, the turmoil of Temeria and Kaedwen, and a displaced rebel kingdom and leader. Radovid's going to have one fun time against Niilfgard. Wish I could remember if I went for Anais or Triss. And whether Anais is in Natalis or Radovid's hands.[/sp]

The game entry on Henselt if you let Roche kill him says the unicorn line has ended as well.[/sp]

Not sure if it was said yet, but if you preorded it on GoG you can download the entire soundtrack. So far there is only one track that is spoiler-y, but it was pretty obvious in Elder Blood trailer[sp]Vesemir's death[/sp]
