Having no experience with any of them whatsoever, I'm not in a position to pass judgement but I agree on the points made.
Well I suspected as much, the only reason I'd buy a console is for exclusives and in all honesty the only exclusives I really care about are Nintendo ones seeing as even Halo has gone to shit. I certainly agree on the points he makes at least.
What did Weeyou do so exciting and new tho?
I mean, yeah, I agree it definitely brings more new than PS4 and Xbone, but if you ask me, they are all three pretty shit, compared to Wii/XBox360/PS3 launch or pretty much any previous generation.
"Heyho here have a cheap lower-middle gaming PC stuffed into a fancy box with some exclusives we paid the devs to not to let anything else run and are going to then make you pay out of ass extra for!"
WiiU genuinely tried with the tablet control and has GENUINELY exclusive games, Xbone has the controversial yet arguably useful voice control, and PS4 offers the best performance for the cost, but it's all still pretty damn lame.
I dunno. For one I am happy we get less and less exclusives. Means more people can enjoy more games, including me. And since it's a pc in a shinny box means development speed can be increased and theoretically so can the port quality. It's a win win.
People who like consoles can get a console, people who like pcs can get a pc. Both can enjoy games more or less equally. I'd love to play nintendo games but I do not want to buy a wiiu, simple as that. A console having exclusives does not attract me, only detracts me more to be fair.
And personally I feel that nintendo is losing their edge. All they've been doing is making spinoffs and rehashes of same old IPs over and over.

I just love Nintendo games, I'm fairly pleased we get a controller of sorts now because I wasn't too impressed with the Wii but loved the Gamecube. The reason I'd play consoles is to have a laugh with friends all on the same sofa kicking back to some casual button spammer. Why I loved Halo, SSB, Goldeneye, Mario Smash Football (shit that game made football fun) and Gears of War to a lesser extent.
My point is Nintendo are the only people that do proper split/same-screen gaming anymore and I genuinely enjoy and get excited for that sort of thing. At least more than I would for an ok PC in a pretty box with a selection of Grim-Dark action no1 or Grim-Dark action no2: now with more micro-transactions.

As does everyone who owns a Wii U. Nobody bought the system for third-party titles.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is a joke. It has to be.
Particularly the bit where he says the system outputs games at 60fps/1080p "like candy" showing Wind Waker HD, when the game runs at 30fps.
(e:)The only 1080p game out on the system is Rayman Legends.

new mario is 720p, I think Rayman is 1080p
and boy does Rayman look good
(artsy 2D beats photo-realistic 3D because art)

I wouldn't be surprised, but even people as bitter as Jim need to drop the sarcasm sometimes. Even if it's sarcasm I do agree with the points he sarcastically bought up.
I hate Nitendo. Not because of their games or anything.
But just because of the BS exclusvity thing they have, I know it is required to keep their console alive but damn it sucks, I am not exactly swimming in money(as a student)..

It's been always like that. It will always be like that.
I think they also said sometime that they will stop making games if they can't sell consoles.
