This is the most perfect explanation of how much EA sucks. This was the purest form of corporate suicide anyone has ever performed in the gaming industry. As if the whole IGN bribing scandal wasn't enough, they just had to go a little further by doing everything they could to put their customers last.
I sometimes think this is why piracy exists, because of shit companies like EA hoarding money and fucking over customers, where as people who pirate their games get to actually fucking play without being advertised to every 5 minutes, threatened with bans or signing away their rights to legal action (which FYI, doesn't actually sign away your rights to sue the shit out of them - they don't have the power to revoke that, regardless of what some shitty TOS says.)

Completely Agree,It's such a shame about EA Doing all this DRM bollocks,I really wanted to buy this game But sadly it wasnt meant to be.
I mean who really thought online drm was a good idea?
and the city sizes are just beyond stupid.
Again i'm Very angry about all this but also a little bit sad that EA killed one of the best games,Just because of greed.
R.I.P SimCity
he just said he doesn't play pc games because he doesn't want to spend thousands of dollars a year to keep his "shitty" pc up to date?
or was that a joke?
He doesn't really say anything new, and has some obvious misconceptions about credit card chargebacks and PC gaming. Any other online store, even Steam, bans for chargebacks through the credit card company.

he was prolly exaggerating.

He sounds like a console gamer in the other videos, so he's probably serious about it.

I think hes mocked console gamers too so I think he just doesnt like gaming much.

This is the most efficient way of proving you're bitching about something you've never actually tried, who is this retard and why does anyone care about him
fuck
Spoken every other sentence
Canceling your payment through your credit card company is kinda a dick move for companies.
Though honestly EA deserves it for putting you into limbo anyways.

Selling someone a game and not letting them play it just so you dont have to admit you both fucked up and tried lying to cover it up is a dick move for gamers.
That last line caught me off-guard
Selling someone a game and not letting them play it just so you dont have to admit you both fucked up and tried lying to cover it up is a dick move for gamers.
Did you even read the second sentence?

Well this is kind of a bad video from him considering he is bringing NOTHING new to the table in this whole fiasco.
As for the second part, who cares holy shit.

It's most likely a joke or at least highly exaggerated because if he actually meant that then he's sorely mistaken that up to date computer gear will only be useful for only a year before needing to upgrade again. Buckley has a very sarcastic sense of humor.

This and lack of demos. There are some people who are going to pirate the game just to pirate it so they don't have to spend the money to play it. But the majority of pirates don't want to mess with bullshit like this, or want to see if they like it/runs on their machine since there's no demo, or they don't have the money at that moment. You could use piracy as a sort of word-of-mouth type of advertising, and indie devs end up having that happen a lot without them really meaning to

Buckley talks about random stuff that annoys him, isn't a hardcore gamer, and doesn't have an audience of hardcore gamers. He's not going to bring anything new to the table of someone who's been following this fiasco from the beginning, that's obvious.

he's not that into games and the general stereotype about PC games is that you need to upgrade every year or two or face playing games with shitty framerates, though this isn't exactly super true anymore. plus he's probably exaggerating just a smidge
Which is ridiculous.
Chargebacks cost the companies money, it's not ridiculous at all. Unknown Worlds Entertainment, the guys behind Natural Selection 2, were hit by like $30,000 worth of chargebacks because of stolen credit cards buying their game.

Ask for a refund - don't fuck with the company offering you a service, a chargeback is basically like a mini-lawsuit.
This really just sucks. Watching videos where people actually got the game to work really makes me want to buy it. I love every feature except for the fact that its not single player. Even then I still would be wary because it is an EA game.

I have no clue why anyone watches this guy's videos, he never says anything new or interesting, and he's not really particularly intelligent or well spoken either. Who is he is right.

Just get Sim City 4: Deluxe. It offers a lot more and doesn't cost a pretty penny.
could someone please make a "video blog" where they don't tell me shit i already know.
[editline]17th March 2013[/editline]
maybe, you know, a new or unique perspective. EA is bad? go figure.
This whole thing is really sad because I was really hyped of this.
But it's like EA is forcing me to NOT buy their games.

You do know that there are some people who don't know about the inner workings of EA, yes?
This pretty much made me fall into the "Never buy EA games again, nor support them!"-groove.

This guy sounds like a total tool.
