All I can hear is Rust Cohle now and I'm totally OK with that.

i get it now, when Matthew McConaughey had the hallucination in the last episode of True Detective, he was just daydreaming about Interstellar
i get it now, when Matthew McConaughey had the hallucination in the last episode of True Detective, he was just daydreaming about Interstellar
That's is some cross medium promotion there
i get it now, when Matthew McConaughey had the hallucination in the last episode of True Detective, he was just daydreaming about Interstellar
first of all, true detective is written by nic pizzolato, and interstellar is written by the nolan brothers. in no way, shape or form are they related. so before u start spreading your misinformation, get your facts straight.
Well Jodie Foster got to go to space in Contact, its Matthew's turn now :v:
If I remember correctly I actually liked Contact. And I also can't remember if that is grounds for mocking me or not.
If I remember correctly I actually liked Contact. And I also can't remember if that is grounds for mocking me or not.
That is (probably) not grounds for mocking you. Contact is based on a good book and it is quite a good movie in its own right. It's just forgotten. Also Interstellar is probably the movie I have been waiting for most this year.
This movie looks absolutely terrific. It's also touching base on subjects that make me drink a lot every time I think about it. People don't realize how relevant the idea of haboobs in farmland-California are, or having to confront the idea that one day soon we will have to make some incredibly uncomfortable and extreme decisions about our survival on this planet. Some of you are going to dismiss this as dramatic (which I am because I'm buzzed, deal with it) but I really wonder how many of you think "oh, global warming how concerning" without understanding the true ramifications on the things that are going down RIGHT now. All that methane that's being produced in the Pacific due to increased temperatures that are creating algae blooms? The melting of the permafrost, which will cause even MORE methane to be released? Do some research, and you'll see that this movie has the potential to strike some very deep truths about our future.
yeah, if the worst case scenario occurs, we're all fucked even in the best case the oceans are already fucked

I kinda don't want to watch the trailer. Lately, the more blind I go into movies the better they are.
that feel when his daughter asks "when?" </3
Probably three years.
There' still some dialogue that I don't like, but I suppose it's a trailer after all. Sci-fi doesn't get enough love, and it looks pretty great.

This movie of the decade.
Space scares me. That wormhole (I think it's that?) and the black hole sun -thing freak me the fuck out.
I love these movies that make me feel small or less significant. People usually go around acting like the center of the Goddamn universe, sometimes myself included, and these types of movies put a lot in perspective and can usually give some pretty humbling experiences. At least I hope thats what this movie does lol
November seems so far away. I'd like to really see this movie, it seems like a wonderful movie. In fact I've been thinking about it a lot recently. I want to read up more on it, but I don't want to at the same time, to keep myself 'clean' of what is to come inside of the actual movie.
I like how all the trailers show similar scenes in general, so it probably doesn't spoil as much. Chris Nolan movies trailers are pretty good, can't wait to see the film.

2001 Space Odyssey of our generation?
Yeah, if there's another trailer I probably won't watch it. 3 is enough for me. Christopher Nolan is one of my favorites! I want to come out of this movie crying.
2001 Space Odyssey of our generation?
Got the same vibes
this movie is the first one in a long time i've been hyped for. The last one was oblivion and it did not disappoint.
