It's extremely inefficient, at least in duels, you have no control over power ups and weapons if you camp.
in quake live, what camping does is make you an easy target, basically.
all I remember about quake 3 / quake live is that the weapons sucked so much dick that I resorted to whoring armor and running around with my gauntlet and hacksawing everyone, then getting first place every round.

whether its unsatisfying or not depends on the person, I find it one of the most satisfying games out there.
Why would campers even be an issue in quake that you'd have to make a video about it. It's seriously not that big of a deal in Quake.

I wasn't even aware they made Quake 3 available on an online service, that's pretty neat. Haven't played in a while.
