Might become a film trilogy, just a proof of concept.
Azureus Rising is the proof-of-concept for an all new feature film trilogy. Azureus is the story of a young man who after escaping death and enduring a life changing journey - matures into a heroic freedom fighter. Azureus Rising is an epic tale of self discovery, obligation and love against all odds.
for some reason I hate that guy
stop crushing those robots, do you even know how much they cost
The hair ruins everything.
When I read Azureus I actually thought of [img_thumb]http://en.onsoftware.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/azureus256w.png[/img_thumb]
They tried to make him too bad-ass ; They failed.
Really well done, but I absolutely hate the way he's animated. Makes me think of The Incredibles and such. Doesn't make the guy feel like a badass hero. I guess it's because all of the modern animators try so hard to copy Pixar/Dreamworks. The characters always are skinny and move like they're made of rubber. Also the hair.

This.
I still call it Azureus, even though it's officially called "Vuze" or some shit now.
Quality rendering, poor storyline.
I thought it looked quite cool, even though I dislike the dude's hair, I like this visual style.
Meh.. it was kinda cool even though the whole swords can cut through anything cliché is kinda dumb
yet another insanely cocky unstoppable rebel action movie that doesnt even try to be suspenseful/interesting
Doin' flips'n'shit.
Cliches out the ass, long "dramatic" pauses after every movement, what the hell hair. No thanks.
Much of running and jumping from gunfire, defeating heavyly armed combat machinery with pistols and swords,
having a bad taste in haircut... No, we dont need another one of those. This heavy anime influence just kills
all suspense because you know right from the start that laws of gravity and chance cont apply to that character
and that he will definately just kick ass without breaking a sweat.
The CGI was great, the content was not
Look cool. Now just a little less predictable storyline and it's good to go.
Reminded me a lot of Fahrenheit 451 for some reason.
everything about this is painfully generic
the hair looks fucking stupid
the breathing was goddamn annoying since you could hear it over everything
and there were too many pauses with some dumb pose that tried way too hard to look dramatic and badass and failed miserably

This.
That was so tacky and generic. Whoever made this is entertained about as easily as a 12 year old.
CGI was extremely good, but the story itself is not.
Get rid of the little jumping faggit and make the main character that fucking awesome Scorpion Robot! Oh and don't have it transform into a humanoid appearance.
Just so everybody knows, this is a proof of concept. There isn't meant to be a storyline, it's just so they can say "hey look we can make something cool, invest in us!" Or something along those lines. Anyhoo, I thought it was cool.
It's like a cool video game intro for a crappy game.
It would've looked much better if the maker hadn't slowed things down, even when everything was going at a normal speed, just to show off how it looks.
Also, [sp]You know when you're Asian when...[/sp]

I agree. Skilled artists they got, but stop with the fucking long pauses every two seconds. Actually lose the protagonist entirely, no one likes an invincible jerk mindlessly killing shit. At least give the illusion of vulnerability.
I like the video. It's cool for low-brain action. There's a good guy and tons of bad guys, it's a simple concept.
Might as well comment in the tread I made. You all do realize that this isn't a short film or even a clip out of one of the possible real films, it's a proof of concept. I posted this because I thought the CG was cool, not the story which I agree with all of you on, it's bad.

this.
The jumping around just ruins it. We get it, you can take the impact of a fall just by landing in that cool pose.
Hair and stupid pauses ruin everything.
Like when he jumped over the wall. He just was crouching in this stupid looking pose that was supposed to look dramatic or something. And the enemy just looked at him and he just waited there. I mean what the hell is that supposed to be ?
his hair is dumb and why didn't the guys shoot him when he threw the ball grenade thing that is usually what people would do

Read the rules of generic bad guys in most movies.
