It always boggles my mind when people don't understand basic, sometimes every day stuff like this.

never used an ice scraper in my life, didn't know what she was doing wrong until the commentators said

I live in Florida, I don't even know what the hell an ice scraper is.

Yeah but clearly she lives somewhere it snows, since there is snow there, and the rest of the news cast understand how to use it.
Someone get that poor woman a stool so she can even reach the windshield.

Apparently people can't move to new places.
How about not having a demonstration if you don't know how to use it?

I'm pretty sure it'd take an average person about 5 seconds of looking at the thing before they figure out its inner workings. It's not rocket science. It's an ice scraper.

It's all in the name.
My scraper tore itself apart when I was scraping off ice from freezing rain and I haven't gotten a new one yet, so I have to use the brush to get the frost off my car now.

You would be amazed at my ineptitude when it comes to basic things. If you don't give me the full instructions on how to do something, I will fail.
We usually pass away at the sight of snow here in the UK so we don't have much use for this
I got an ice scraper for christmas
luckily I did it right the first time
Step 2: Pour hot water on the windshield
I feel bad for her, I'm sure she knows how to do it but she can't reach because she's trying to do it on a Hummer or some crazy SUV shit that is taller than her.

We are brothers, you and I.
That or you're in the military, which makes us brothers in arms.
I refuse to believe anyone is dumb enough not to know how to use an ice scraper.

Give me one.
I dare you.

Kind of summarizes my entire life.
Failing at the most trivial things. :(
Step 2: Pour hot water on the windshield
nononononono
That will crack and most likely break your windshield. My dad did that with his brothers at my age when they were trying to get ice off one of their cars.
Well, at least they are all nice about it, and she actually learns how to do it properly.
never thought about the fact that some people don't know what ice scrapers are
personally, got a blanket, big ass shovel and an ice scraper for christmas - all car accessories. tells you a lot about where i live
or put cardboard on the windshield before you go to sleep.
Amazing.
Someone get that poor woman a stool so she can even reach the windshield.
I like how they got the shortest news reporter to demonstrate on a really tall E-250.
I'm like 6' 3" and I could barely squeegee the middle of the windsheild. :v:
Fuck the environment.
i use chemical sprays.
Spray 3 secs
have breakfast
windshield is and stay cleans

It's pretty damn intuitive.

It's just strange because she lives in that climate.. Unless she has a garage to park in year-round, but still...
Step 2: Pour hot water on the windshield
Ok no, no no no.
#1 The difference in heat can (and by can I mean pretty high chance) crack your windshield.
#2 In the off chance that it DOESN'T crack your wind shield it'll just freeze and create more ice.

I don't even live in the cold and this is like common sense.
I was born and raised in Chicago but I moved when I was 11, I've lived in Florida ever since then.
really this could happen to anyone, you are a bit light headed, maybe exhausted and tired. the first thing you do is show how to use it and use it on the nearest material
I'm pretty sure people who don't have a car have never even heard of that tool.
