So a friend of mine has the option to get, as the title mentions, a laptop with an 800$ budget. Any suggestions for something that could run today's games decently (or any games for that matter)?
laptops =/= games

Other than that its a waste of money.
we talking US or Canada ?
U.S. Also, I don't know why the rest of you are being dicks. I'm just asking for advice for getting a laptop that can play games. Comments like "it's a waste of money" are not needed.
Not being a dick though but I don't really recommend playing games on a laptop. Performance won't be really great compared to the desktop ones. But since you are asking for advice, I think maybe this is alright for you: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/msi-gaming-notebook-gx630,news-2947.html It's the best I can find for such a price. Maybe the others can help. And don't expect it will run very well on high-end games unless you are willing to throw in another 600 and then we are talking.
Much appreciated.

OP, look at these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152157 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115763 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834220634 [editline]12:28AM[/editline] the Acer (middle link) seems to be the best.
I have the acer in the middle link except I got it for a steal of $699 with free shipping. Except the one I bought was this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115732&cm_re=acer_5740g-_-34-115-732-_-Product. It was an excellent deal, it's a shame it's sold out right now. But I would recommend the Acer 100%
wow, core i5 and a 5650 Radeon for 799? That's pretty good.
