And even after the video :iiam:
Those questions are fucking awesome, and I haven't even finished watching it yet.
you hand will travel at the speed of light and punch god by mistake
So it all depends on whether all the energy is dumped into your hand or not. I can't even imagine what would happen if all the energy was transferred. The energy of a freight train going full speed concentrated to an area of a few micrometers :psyduck: Even if it just drilled a hole through your hand, I bet the radiation from secondary interactions, and the synchrotron radiation from the LHC itself would kill you.
:aaa: I love these

Make the LHC into a weapon :v:

I bet it would kill you??
I bet it would kill you??
Did you even watch the video, this isn't fast threads.
I actually understood all that :buddy:
Well this guy put his head into an accelerator. His name is Antoli Bugorski.
Well this guy put his head into an accelerator. His name is Antoli Bugorski. [img_thumb]http://www.sonicbomb.com/files/articles/bugorski/bugorski.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh wow.
Bugorski was leaning over the piece of equipment when he stuck his head in the part through which the proton beam was running. Reportedly, he saw a flash "brighter than a thousand suns", but did not feel any pain. The left half of Bugorski's face swelled up beyond recognition, and over the next several days started peeling off, showing the path that the proton beam (moving near the speed of light) had burned through parts of his face, his bone, and the brain tissue underneath. As it was believed that he had received far in excess of the radiation dose that would normally kill a person, Bugorski was taken to a clinic in Moscow where the doctors could observe his expected demise. However, Bugorski survived and even completed his Ph.D. There was virtually no damage to his intellectual capacity, but the fatigue of mental work increased markedly. Bugorski completely lost hearing in the left ear and only a constant, unpleasant internal noise remained. The left half of his face was paralyzed, due to the destruction of nerves. He is able to function perfectly well, except for the fact that he has occasional complex partial seizures and rare tonic-clonic seizures.
Holy shit. That's crazy. So I guess it might be possible to survive, then. Just say goodbye to your hand. :v:
It would be like getting shot with this.
I never thought about this..
Good watch, really spooky that something that small can do that
