As a Garth Ennis fan this looks odd. They seem to have the costumes down but that Cassidy haircut is pushing it. I guess they're straying really far from the source material with this one.
Any thoughts on this?
Looks pretty cheesy.

Seeing as at one point, a character literally fucks himself, i'm fine with that.
That's not how I imagined them to look like but whatever, I will hold my judgement for now.
I don't mind Cassidy's hair(mainly because I fucking love Joseph Gilgun) but the lack of sunglasses is killing me.
[sp]You can see him burning up at points in the trailer[/sp]
[sp] I wonder if they'll have cassidy survive the Saint of Killers bullets erroneously like in the comic book[/sp]
I'm a little afraid this is going to get the same treatment Wanted did. Making the adaptation more 'realistic' and less fantastical than the original work.
But [sp]arseface[/sp] has already been leaked and he looks just like he should, so I have some hope still.
AMC got real bad when breaking bad started getting successful.
They keep making new shows and they're all real awful.
I actually really dislike how none of the characters resemble the comic's characters like at all. It's really bothering me that it seems like they changed [sp]Jesse's[/sp] backstory. This trailer actually makes me think he's [sp]an ex-con of some sort, and no usage of the word or red eyes at all. I hope they don't just rewrite everything. Sure it needs to change some things but c'mon.[/sp]
Hey, its the guy from Misfits the guy who replaced the hilarious Nathan.

By making new shows, you mean RE-making shows that were already made in other countries? Quite a few of their original series in the last few years were remakes from shows in other countries, The Killing was based off a show of the same name and exact plot in Sweden or some European country, there are a few other 'original' series that were actually remakes of shows from other countries as well.
Into the Badlands looks like it's going to be fucking awful. They're not doing so hot with new shows/remakes

If we're gonna be fair, he was easily the best part of the show after Nathan left, the writing kinda just had to have him there while all these storylines and characters he'd never been involved with continued. After that and the new cast, who were shit for the most part because they had to replace the original cast without feeling like repeats, he had the best character and was the best actor but at that point the shows writing was pretty shitty.
He's great in This is England(film and series)

They are. They've added some original characters including a love interest for Jesse.
I will give a chance
Totally unfamiliar with the source material, but looks interesting enough to give it a shot.
Also, glad this was the "world premiere" trailer, wouldn't want any lesser premiere.

well maybe not making 'completely new' shows, but they're still new shows for the channel.
Mad Men and Breaking Bad were good but after that they started pumping out more and more shows like Hell on Wheels, Turn, Halt and Catch Fire, Low Winter Son, and Walking Dead, which imo were either boring, insincere, or just plain bad.

[sp]You mean besides Tulip right? As in there's a triangle? Or they are just not going to pursue the whole "Until the end of the world" stuff?[/sp] Eh, it just doesn't look right coming from the comics almost like it's too bright. I hope it comes out not too dramatic, it needs those hints of dark humor and it seems like Cassidy's going to be his good old crazy self at least.

Hey, take that back Hell on Wheels is pretty good, sure the first season was really awful, but it got much better the longer it went on.
