>.> Kanye West likes fishdicks and so do I... But he needs to stop ruining good songs DX
WHAT THE FUCK.
kanye west, i hope you die of aids.
Kanye West is aids.
I think Kanye should Run-away from the music scene.
Meh it's not that bad.
It just shouldn't be as popular as it is, is all.
If Mozart came back to life and listened to this, well... he would probably just die again.
musicians have been appropriating older music for ages. get over it.
That had the acting of a porn movie.
at least it's not about hoes and money
It's like an album set to some wack story with Michael Jackson heads.
But Mozart was mainstream.
Yes, back when being an artist of any kind required skill/talent.
Kanye is trying to appear intelligent by putting Mozart in his tracks. It's too bad he ruins it by "rapping" lazily.
4 yeas, then something about Chicago, then something about Pablo and the devil. I stopped after that.
Just
God
NO.
Kanye, go back to being a gay fishdick and being an asshole wants for attention.
kanye used to be good though, the college dropout, late registration and graduation are actually good albums.
it all went downhill with fucking 808s and heartbreak though.
It's too bad that facepunch is full of a bunch of immature children, too narrow minded to consider the fact that maybe this was actually a very creative independently made film.
Sure, kanye's writing and acting could improve, in fact, they could improve alot. Kanye admittedly lacks any degree of humility. However, i don't think anyone here has ever written, starred in, and performed a film showcasing songs off their latest album, which is already looking to be very listenable. The film has some poor acting and special effects, as well as writing that is amateur at best, but what can you expect from a man who has made his living writing music, not stories. The film has an interesting underlying theme, including symbolism and what i can only assume is an attept at subtle social commentary.
So what if he sampled classical music? Artists have been sampling other artists for going on for half a century. As a classical musician and music performance major, i can say with confidence that the mozart was used completely tastefully.
What i think is really going on is that facepunch users are predisposed to assume anything created by kanye west is crap and panders to the mainstream. While that may be true of his past releases, this video shows kanye heading in a new direction: as an experiment in rap as an art form.
Finally, i would like to state that i in no way think this is anywhere near perfect. There are many areas where it could improve: the acting is sub par, the writing is cumbersome, and the special effects are basic at best. In addition, the directing could use work, but isn't totally discountable. The songs, i assume, are works in progress, and i expect them to improve before the actual album release. However, the video has several good points, as well as an articulate underlying theme, some degree of symbolism, and the music is interesting in that it touches on some new experimental areas.
In conclusion, this film is interesting and showcases songs that were very listenable. There were several areas that could have used improvement. However, the majority of facepunch users are close-minded and rude to completely discount the notion that perhaps this film was a decent piece of art just because of who made it.
Before you rate me disagree, try actually coming up with an intelligent argument for your point of view.

Can you sing more songs with TH89 now?
To Pyro,
I haven't watched Kanye's film, but I will whenever I have freetime. I appreciate your post. But don't go calling the other posts "dumb" because of our opinions and agreeing with the ones that say something nice about Kanye. That's just a sign that you are a fan of his work. Now his earlier stuff was great, but just like prof. cool said, his newer shit isn't that good. So please don't waste your time saying this post is dumb or the one above is dumb, just please don't.

Duly noted.
There were some good points to the video but parts were just awful.
Weird.
is nothing sacred?

Faggot
34 Minutes long WTF
I skipped through the video, and some of the music is actually pretty interesting. It's a bit like Kid A/Amnesiac Radiohead mixed with rap in some bits.
I like this. It's nice to see more rap incorporate classical melodies. A good backing track is easier to flow over. Much nicer than the midi-synth-and-drums shit so much mainstream stuff uses nowadays.
And no he's not "ripping" Mozart, he's making a tribute to him. He's incorporating old music into new music in order to preserve it. I like that.
EDIT: This all sounds so trip-hoppy :keke:
