Poor woman
This bullshit is getting way out of control. I really don't see this ending well for anybody. The thing is already racially charged, and they are continuing the stereotype of black inner city criminals. They need to be doing better things than robbing people because other people are already going crazy. Maybe like talk about it peacefully instead of being violent pillagers? There's an idea!
Fucking mom mentality brings out the fucking worst in people
Idiot who was literally just saying "fuck the police" steals purse, promptly gets arrest by said police. Moron had what was coming. Disgusting this is happening right down the road.

Honestly though Baltimore has always kinda been like this, though this is just about as bad as the 1968 race riots. I really think we're heading back in that direction.
woah the comments on this video are awful, even by youtube standards
Fucking mom mentality brings out the fucking worst in people
I'm sorry but the thought of a bunch of people running up to me and saying "No don't do that you'll hurt yourself" or "Why aren't you doing your homework?" while I'm at a coffee shop or something is hilarious

You'll find low-lifes like that everywhere, don't worry Baltimore, you're not alone.
so what happened in baltimore that caused all this did another person die by cops allegedly in bad faith or something
seeing those comments on the video sorta makes me wanna support people having to use their real names online lol [editline]27th April 2015[/editline] and man that was pretty heart wrenching with how distraught the lady got. i hope she gets her bag back.
hey guys let's protest the cops allegedly being racist towards black people by causing violence and robbing people, that'll sure help to end racism and stereotypes
hey guys let's protest the cops allegedly being racist towards black people by causing violence and robbing people, that'll sure help to end racism and stereotypes
Exactly. How the hell do they expect their stereotypes to go away if they are fueling the stereotypes themselves! If they would abide by the fucking laws they wouldn't have these issues.
whats the whole story about freddie gray dying anyway? was it a "he didnt do nuffin wrong" or did the cops fuck up bad (or both)?
whats the whole story about freddie gray dying anyway? was it a "he didnt do nuffin wrong" or did the cops fuck up bad (or both)?
I believe it was the case where he was running, cops captured him performing a maneuver that may caused a spinal injury that later led to his death. There is speculation that the spinal injury was caused while he was in detainment and on the way to the hospital/jail, I think it was the former.

[editline]27th April 2015[/editline] On the thread topic: This is why I hate living in Baltimore. Not only are there protesters being shitheads, but the whole thing is kicking up gang activity too. It's scary as fuck.
But yeah, stealing during protests won't help stop the racism and stereotypes.

If they would abide by the fucking laws they wouldn't have these issues.
it's a tad iffy IMO to be using collective pronouns like that man. these guys don't speak or represent the black american community. yes there is a high amount of crime among black americans but any research into the subject will show that poverty and systemic oppression is the major cause - not race which is why it's such a horrible thing to stereotype people by. i know you're not tryna be bigoted or anything but it just seems a bit silly to be putting the burden of fueling the stereotypes of all black american people onto a group of bad kids who happen to be black americans. these kids are obviously not involved in the protests for political reasons. they are just dumb kids being dumb kids and i hope people won't be using these dumb kids as a reason to ignore the actual politics and social movement happening. and also when a group feels that the law is not just failing them but is actively against them then it's really no surprise that they wont abide by the law. it's happened time and time again in history.

"fuck the police" now lets commit crimes and get arrested right after [editline]28th April 2015[/editline] OPPRESSIVE POLICE!!
Instead of shitting on the cops 24/7 maybe they should be tackling kids like these at the same time to further reduce tensions.
from what i understand there are lots of different outreach programmes run in the black american communities to help the urban youth steer clear from gangs and violence but it's a battle fought on both sides with the protection and kinship of gangs also attracting the young and poor. but yeah there's that iffy use of collective pronouns again!!

But people tend to look for the bad before the good, and if they see this kind of media coverage, well that's what they will associate.
whats the whole story about freddie gray dying anyway? was it a "he didnt do nuffin wrong" or did the cops fuck up bad (or both)?

Gray died April 19 after suffering a fatal spinal injury while in custody. Authorities have not explained how or when Gray's spine was injured. Video showed him being dragged into a police van and police have said he rode in the wagon for about 30 minutes before paramedics were called. Police have said Gray should have received medical attention at the spot where he was arrested - before he was put inside a police transport van handcuffed and without a seat belt, a violation of the department's policy.
basically he was taken into a police van and then his neck broke and the police haven't said why nor did they call an ambulance. it sounds really shady (at best a case of fatal incompetence) but it's already being turned into one of those "haha dumb thugs gettin riled up over nuffin" things that's all the rage now

At least the Police were there and they caught him and got her bag back.
Don't take this the wrong way, but how old are you?
Is telling a group of people who robbed someone on camera that committing crimes is not in their best interest a thing children do?
The atmosphere at the end with the police helos swooping by reminded me of True Detective.
